Video Description

This is the first video I have made on poker stars. This is a 2 part video. Watch me grind through a tough session. This is what a typical day looks like for me grinding on the tables. I play upto 22 tables in this video. I give many multi-tabling tips throughout the video and explain many of the plays I am making on the tables!

Comments

Nice, always enjoy live multi-tabling videos.

The volume is a little low though, had to crank it up all the way and it was still a bit soft.

Really intrigued by your move to Stars - I always figured you could get bigger edges at the games at Tilt due to less grinders and slower structure allowing more time for bad players to do bad stuff. Is it just for a change of pace or is it something about the games at Tilt these days?

Isridgway, what you said is true about the slower structure. However, the turbo format allows me to play more games per hour thus my hourly rate is a little more on stars. Plus fulltilts $75 45 mans only start about 2 games per hour so it is not enough to keep me going. Also, as a supernova on stars you get more rakeback than 27% that fulltilt offers.

I was struggling with how folks could do 20 tables because it never occurred to me to cascade the windows and let the action come to the front. DOOH! Monkey

What I would like to see is a lesson on preparations (such as display techniques) to multi-table. I also would like to see information on whether mulit-table tactics differ from single and/or double table tactics. Obviously (to me at least) it seems that beyond maybe 4 tables one can't get too fancy. It sounds a little more like tight, aggressive ABC kind of play with little room for thoughtful trickery.

So, I think you get my drift on something I think would be helpful. This would be a great prequel for your current lessens.

TANX BUDDY!

Hey pimpin

Hope your well,
Just a cheeky question for u, what ur average hourly rate? hope u dont mind me asking

all the best

Thanks for the feedback CUE_BALD_1.

speedy2833, I charge $150/hr for coaching but I have a lot going on right now with getting my house ready to put up for sale and making videos so I am not doing any coaching right now.

I think he meant how much do you make per hour?

It depends on what games I play. Like if I play on ftp or stars or both or even 4 table cash game rush poker. I play different games to keep my mind interested so I don't get bored playing the same games every day. It averages out somewhere between $100 and $150 per hour.

You had said something in the first part about at the end of the session going over what your win/lose rate was and amount of tournaments played and such. I was hoping to see u go over it live on the screen but maybe u will/have posted the actual results of the video?

I forgot to do that. I remember it was a losing session but I don't remember the exact numbers.

Thanks for letting me know. So what do u see as being a good session? Do u think u will me entering the WSOP again next year seen as it was profitable?

all the best

Speedy2833

I think if you play your best and make +EV decisions it is a good session. You can't control the cards that come out.

I am planning to play more wsop tournaments next year at this point. I think those tournaments bring in a lot of recreational players so they are very profitable.

Hi pimpin. audio on this video is very very poor. can you fix it, please...

Tx

I'm not sure what happened with the audio on this video. If you wear headphones it helps.

The audio is really bad, I take a course Mark, you fold 33 to a 28:00 min, blind 100/200 and his position was mp2. I did not understand ...

sorry for my english, i am brazilian

Hey mark, I can not understand many situations. The why to be so tight with 4 ~ 5BB You A6o, A3o fold UTG spot among many others spots, really can not understand in any way, could you explain?

Yeah, looking back at the 33 hand that should be a shove. I missed that one.

Shoving ace rag from early position is going to get called and dominated far too often. So in some spots I prefer to go into the big blind to survive a little longer and wait for a better spot to go allin.

Mark u fold AJo in Mp1 with 8BBs, u fold Q9s in mp1 with 7BBs, u fold T8 in CO with 5BB's. Why?

Do you think that your method as effective as shoving very light 4 ~ 5 BBs?

In the 18 man sngs sometimes you make it into the money with only 2 or 3 BBs. So in some spots in makes sense to fold when there are shorter stacks that must shove first and risk elimination.

Each situation is different though. There are times I would shove all those hands it just depends on all the factors at the table.

40 tables! these persons must be insane.

I can understand you get your satisfaction at the end of the day if you see your profits. I also want to become a profitable player, but not by multi-tabling. I always want to see the result of my actions and see for myself the way my opponents play(,but your tip about pokersoftware will come in handy). Although I lost some money over the years, I still think as it as time well spend and lately it happens much more I have a positive balance at the end of the month. Maybe this vid will help me get profit more months.
I didn't like it because I never got to see what happens after you made a move, but I gave me a good insight the way MT players play.

Why don't you play the 6SNG tables(think I know the answer)?
Now I play a little more expensive 6SNGtournaments I see a lot more MTers at the table.

mark, You played 45 man also in session, these shove is far more light?

Hey mark

I was just wondering do u pay tax on ur winings as this is your only form of income?

All the best

Speedy2833

Mark, at ~8:40 you have an A7o on a board 7QJ4Jddd. It's pretty visible that he doesn't have the flush, but, why bet oop? You'll be folding to a raise and he will not call you with anything worse than your A7, just higher PPs and maybe a QT, Q9, or even higher queens, afraid of the flush. But if you check, you give him the chance to bluff you, and it becomes an easy call, 'cause you have the showdown value. I'll watch the rest, and any question that occur me I'll be posting here.

I used to play 6max sngs but I have found multi table sngs to be more profitable for me.

In 45 man sngs it pays more to play for the win so shoving lighter in those is optimal.

I pay taxes just as any other business owner.

I like your line better Soneca1990 for the A7 hand. You are completely right. I make mistakes just like every one else and when playing lots of tables they happen more often.

Hey Mark how do you get the the table to cascade from top right to bottom left? Do you have to set up a custom layout or is it in the options somewhere I haven't found?

It is a custom layout. I just use empty cash game tables to setup layouts on stars.

Hey Pimpin,

I want your custom HUD, how can I get it?

Transfer $5 to PimpinDonks on ftp or Markschillin on stars. Then email me and I will send it to you.

Great video, once again. I'd love to see a post sess. analysis as that might prove useful. For example, a short 15 review of key spots and overall performance. I'm trying to do that after each of my sessions. Although, I understand one cannot allow to be preoccupied with short-term $$ fluctuations.

I will look for an opportunity to do that in a future video.

sucks i paid for this and cant hear a thing

woops double

Crank up your volume, jeez I can hear perfectly!

In 1:05:01 or something, you fold AJ suited in first position with 6,5BB. Is that your correct play?

Also, you don't limp small pairs with the 10/20 and 15/30 blinds in early? I think this is wrong, because the fish are still there, easy to stack off with trips and it's pretty harmless to your stack.

I play pretty much exactly the same, 20-24 tabling. I might tighten up on shoving early and middle position though, as you shove quite a bit tighter from there. Also you're strategy isn't as concentrated on first place as I thought. Very interesting! Great video again.

I missed that shove with AJs. That is one of the pitfalls of playing multiple tables!

I think you can get away with profitably limping small pairs in early position in small stakes sngs. In high stakes sngs though there are more regulars and they are better at recognizing limps from regs are usually small pairs. So in high stakes sngs I have made the adjustment to always raise if I'm first to enter the pot.
