Critical Hands Early in the Sng/Mtt with PimpinDonks
Video Description
We are going to go over how to play your big and medium strength hands early in the sng/mtt with low blinds. I am going to discuss different lines that can be taken and why some are more effective than others. This is the first of a three part series on critical hands that come up while you are playing poker. The other two videos will cover middle and late stage play. This video covers crucial spots only and my thought process behind the play I made. If you can play your big pots well you will have a significant advantage over the majority of your competitors!

Hey,
Watched a few of ur videos which I liked.
Just a question. Deepstacked tourny 10 / 20 UTG limped and u limped in hijack with AJ. Ur arguement was u were most likely dominating his range which is fine.
But does this not price in the cut off and / or the button with maybe suited connectors or a low pair which in turn could price in the SB (even though he may call with any 2 getting such good odds). Also if raised by the cut-off or button would u not have to lay this down preflop after losing position with a potentially dominated hand?
As it turned out every1 including the SB folded (even though getting 7 to 1) and it was a 10 J 2 rainbow but I can see how this play could go wrong from lots of angles i.e. both blinds in and maybe hitting a blind special?
The hand how u played flop onwards was great and u got maximum value just not sure about preflop (and I hate AJ, lol)
No problem I guess my main point was would you have passed it to a raise from the cut off or button?
from their perspective you haven't shown strength (I mean if u r unknown to them)
so if they had raised and you'd called I'd hate to bet out on a A high dry flop and be raised by either of these later positions..?
Thanks anyway for replying. I'm sure I'll have questions on other videos!
Good and knowledgeable Video
When I was watching your multi table tournament videos, which are great by the way, I was always starving for your detail commentary at each hand as you play, when you grind 12+ tables Sit&Gos, it’s not easy play and comment on your moves as you go. Therefore, it wasn’t enough for me to understand why you decide to play certain hands, as you did.
Well, this replay hands video does that.
Very glad you did this recording; it really captures and explains why you play your hands the way you did.
One thing I would like to see from you is, your HUD read on each player you play.
Many of us, using the HUD, but not everyone using the HUD at full range of possibilities; I know I don’t, not yet.
As you look at the stats of the opponent, what is your thought process for the next move, based on your read.
Would be interesting go over HUD stats, as you play Sit&Gos
Thank you for very informative and great video training tutorial.

hey pimpindonks,
would u have called an all-in in the situation where u had a straight, and the opponent min-bluffed u on the river??
because u said u called it by reason that odds are 4:1
