Thanks...I encourage all viewers to leave as many comments as possible, so that I can keep adding more value content to each video I create.

Just watched, there where a few spots I notice the poker gods where on your side. Like most MTT there are times luck has to be on your side, I guess you would win every week if that wasn't the case.
I did watch a video you did a while back and you seemed a lot tighter then. Have you changed your game to be more aggressive?

Steve

In general I play a bit tighter overall than I use to, but I constantly change gears according to the table dynamics. I never go into a tournament with a set strategy in mind I always adjust according to the table dynamics and change gears as needed. I was lucky in the sunday 500 to run into a bunch of tables that happened to play very nitty so I was able to play very laggy. Stpaulie was the only player trying to play back at me, so I just kept picking as many spots as possible scooping up tons of small pots.

I have (because I can't afford it lol) just watch levels you play at.
Seems to me compared to my levels on buyin $3 MTT mostly they don't really play back much. And when they do it mostly 3 betting with alot of laydowns.
Multiway pot "seems" to be unusual. I would think that would be alot easy game to play if your isolating a player.
Also are the more reckless players able to get away with more with overbets?
I watch one player and he is on the leaders board constantly, Zackattak13 he seems to get away with alot just because he is very aggressive.
With a 13% ITM and playing a hell of alot games they seem to work on just getting one or 2 lucky games per month (of say 400 MTT in that month, I would take at least a year to play).
While I was typing I did lookup what he won for the last month.
(on stars only)
405 played ,3 wins 2 2nds and 1 3rd and made the Final table 9 times.
So its more then one or 2 Smile
I played 64 gamed for the same period. (1 final for a 2nd, I did get a 3rd on another site)
Wow you have had a good month.
139 Played, 2 wins 1 2nd and 1 3rd and made the final table 8 times.
Nice.
Is it (if you a good to very good player) just a numbers game?

Steve

Well the way I think about lower buy-in tournaments or very large fields of 1500+ entrants early on my focus is to play tighter than usual, but always be looking for players I can pick on and exploit every edge I can. Deep in the tournament i will actually play much more aggressive in lower buyins or big field tourneys with inexperienced players because they are just looking to get to the next payout, but you have to do proper research on each and every player to see how skilled they are.

It is a huge leak to just assume every player is bad at low stakes and just try to steamroll somebody that you shouldn't be. You can only assume to a certain extent of certain information the rest you have to do your homework on regardless of the buy-in level.

As for the numbers game question... The simple answer is yes it is simply a numbers game, but regardless how many games you play if you are not doing proper off the table training and constantly brainstorming how to play each individual situation more optimal, studying, etc... then you will not make a profit. You can compare it with the stock market in regards to diversifying investments. The larger your portfolio gets and diversify over several types and amounts of investments the greater chance you have to succeed BUT this only applies if your doing the proper research and homework. Obviously theres the select few that are lucky and do well in the short term but the true winners are doing well in the long term and consistently.

around 1 hour when you open/call 66 vs AQ, the pot odds the replayer displaying is for xaroCjes not for you.
