I am a bit more than a recreational player. I own 3 businesses and work full time. Poker is a profitable hobby that I enjoy and if I were in college I would probably be playing professionally. I have played in cash games with Ron Rose and Sam Grizzle (and won) and enjoy on-line poker tremendously.

When I started playing, I put $600 on pokerstars 4 times, and twice on full tilt. I lost it all because I was playing at 3/6 NL cash games and 2/4 NL cash games. I didn't understand bank roll management because I had other income to support me.

In live games, I have a huge advantage over most player and pros. I understand situations, betting patterns, and math, but also read my opponents incredibly well. I usually take trips to Vegas 2-5 weekends per year and I have never even been close to losing for the weekend playing 1/2, 3/5, 2/5, and 5/10 NL Holdem cash games. One weekend I was bad beat 6 times in large pots and still left the weekend with a $1500 profit.

Online has taken me a bit longer to master. In the starting in 2008, I finally became a winning on-line player. I'm currently running an experiment to see how much I can build my on-line bankroll to from June 15, 2009 through Thanksgiving. I deposited $100 onto pokerstars and stopped playing on full tilt for now. As of July 10, 2009 it is at $1540. I started playing the $10.40 double or nothings and have moved to the $12 180 NL turbos.

I am interested in becoming a better player. While I am winning at a good clip on-line now, I know there are holes I still need to close. I am looking to share ideas and strategies with other good players so we can win more.
