Leaderboard Competition Winners
The results are in. okayBLAM has won the NON-US leaderboard competition and GottNuttz is the victor in the US leaderboard. Coincidentally, they each finished with a streak of 12. okayBLAM and GottNuttz will receive $400, 1 hour of coaching from PimpinDonks, a 1 year SharkScope membership, 30 SharkScopers credits, and a diamond Star Icon.
Overall, our first competition was a great success! A big thanks goes out to PlayersOnly and SunPoker for adding to the prizepool and allowing us to do this on their network.

- I've sent Mark a list of the coaching winners to contact. Mark has contacted all the winners to schedule a coaching session

I've still got nothing in my SunPoker account!
Worse still they have basically confiscated the money I used to set the account up and my tournament winnings.
I made my deposit using my VISA card. For a security check they phoned me. All ok money goes in fine. At the end of the competition I tried to cash it out back to the same card but this apparently required faxes of my passport driving licence utility bill - I don't have access to a personal fax machine I can use. This is ridiculous - if your security says you can take money off a card surely you can put it back onto the same one FFS. Complete BS. But it gets worse still. The cash out failed but the money was never returned to my account. I then asked them where it was and they said they couldn't return until I emailled them from my registered email address requesting it's return, which I did. The money still didn't return. They are claiming that my email address doesn't properly match the one I registered. This is also complete BS. These guys have basically stolen my initial deposit and winnings. I am so angry. So I very much doubt that the prize money will ever arrive and even if it does they won't let you take it out.

So this competition so far has cost me $100 (my initial deposit) to effectively buy 5 months sharkscope subscription.
Whatever the next competition is don't make it at this site. They are just common thieves.

Lands, I am sure you will get your money back... I heard that recently many pokerrooms (mostly in USA) adhered to some new laws which forbid to send money to or withdraw it by credit cards from casinos, pokerrooms and similar sites. Just keep calm and try to use another form of withdrawal (after asking them to fix your account). If you need some fax number you can use your own phone number and send/receive faxes with your pc. You don't need to download any program as long as you use Windows XP/Vista/Seven.
Giusnun, thanks! I didn't know you could do that. Cool, I'll check into it. Still seems very hypocritical that they are happy to take money out from a card with much less security that returning to the very same card.
I've just been clicking on everything I can to see if the winnings are anywhere and discovered I've got 150,000 SPPs added to my account which can be coverted to $150 cash. So that's obviously how we've been paid. Nice of them to tell us!
So the next step is to get the rest of my money back and then work out how to get it out of SunPoker.
I certainly won't ever be playing on there again! With Stars you just click a button and the money is sent to your bank account. I can't see how newer/smaller sites can possibly attract custom from Stars if they make withdrawals so difficult. Ease of withdrawal has to be a very important factor in choosing where to play for anyone who is profitable.
Well sunpoker have sent two emails to my registered address which I've replied to with complete copies of these messages yet they are continuing to deny that this address is my registered address. They have asked me to provide proof of identify to change my email to my register when it already is my registered address. This is beyond ridiculous.
This is either extraordinary level of incompetence of downright thievery. But it looks like they will not be returning the the original $100 I depositied or my wiinings. Fecking thieving bastards.
I do agree. That's why Pokerstars is number one. Even Full Tilt, the second best poker room, is very myopic about money and customers. They always try to find an excuse to not paying, to not rakebacking, to not refunding, to not sending store items... so I expect minor poker rooms to do worse. Anyway, I think that Sharkscopers' admin won't deal with Sun Poker anymore
I've now got the confiscated money back into my account after the ridiculous emial address fiasco they created out of nothing.
Now I just need to try to cash out again. This time hopefully without getting my funds confiscted.
Has anyone else managed to cash out with needing to fax documents etc? If so by what method?
Lands, if you have problems configuring your fax (I have the italian version of Windows XP, so my translation could not reflect the exact denominations: Start, Control Panel, Applications or Software Installation, Windows components, Fax Services... you could need inserting the Windows CD... after that you will see a virtual printer named Fax... printing on it will send faxes), I can lend you my fax: +3902700512098. You can email me the documents to send and I'll email back to you what they fax to me.
Thanks for your very kind offer Giusnun - I've just gone out and bought a scanner - our printer/copier had started misbehaving and the wife wanted a new one anyway so I bought one with a scanner as well. So I should be sorted. Although SunPoker will probably still not accept them as my registered email doesn't show on their screen. My email has a shortcut alias which I sent them rather than the long version name which shows on their screen. They just can't seem to grasp the fact it's the same email account. Stars and AP can cope with this fine but not SunPoker. I predict this site won't last in the long term.
Or at least SunPoker say they have sent it.
