Filter and Blocking Enhancements

Today we've added a couple of features to help you analyse your data in more detail.

Firstly you can now use a VS Player filter, whereby you can specify a player's name and only include results against that player (the VS Player filter can be found in advanced search options in the "Other Options" drop down). The power of this filter is that it can be used in combination with all the other advanced search filters and it will eventually completely replace the Head to Head feature.

The 2nd change is that you can now configure your Personal Playing Names on the preferences page. This automatically creates a Global Alias for all your usernames which can be searched. More importantly after configuring these names when you search for a blocked player, instead of seeing nothing, you will now see the VS=|Me| filter applied, which shows you all the results from games you have played against this player.

"This automatically creates a Global Alias for all your usernames which can be searched. "

I was really excited about this, since I've played with over a dozen of different usernames while trying various poker rooms. I was really disappointed to see that it only really allows one username per network, so after adding 10 OnGame usernames I was really let down after seeing the error message while saving the list..

Why this limit? It would be really great to see my overall stats combined.

The personal alias is limited to 4 usernames for networks that have skins, and 1 for networks that don't. So you should have been able to create 4 on Ongame.

We limit the personal alias to prevent people using it to abuse the VSPlayer filter by configuring hundreds of names that aren't their own.

You can of course create a Global Alias on the search database page, and here there are no limits on how many names you can specify.

Doesn't seem to work, just tried again to add just two usernames for Ongame. Here's the shot of the situation, the error pops up when clicking save. http://tormu.ignorelist.com/alias_error.gif

EDIT: and thanks for pointing out the global alias option on the search page, I haven't seen that and it's just what I wanted - and works great Smile
