Update on todays SharkScope Outage
November 21, 2010 - 8:41am
We are in the process of recovering from a lightning induced power spike at our data center which damaged some of our critical server hardware and their back ups.
We have been working through the night to get the site back up as soon as possible, and we are hopeful that result tracking will not be significantly effected by the outage once all the servers have caught up on the updates.
We're extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Update Nov11th
SharkScope is hosted by one of the web's leading ISPs. Unfortunately this ISP's Data Center has just experienced its 2nd power outage in 3 days. Power outages in a data center should never happen as they supposedly have multiple redundant power systems to prevent this problem ever happening. The previously outage was blamed on a lightening strike, and they have yet to explain the cause of this latest outage.
Recovering from a server power outage requires a large amount of work to repair damage done to affected systems so until we know the full extent of the damage done there is no exact time frame for when full service will resume but it should be very soon now. When we know more we will post a message on SharkScope, we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to you and appreciate your patience and custom.
Results tracking should not be significantly affected by this outage.
