I understand your right to exist, I think you are an invaluable tool for growth; I have a Sharkscope membership.

But I think your relationship with Pokerstars is unhealthy and is due to a narrow self-interested view point.

Pokerstars is currently thinking of releasing inaccurate tournament results into the public ether in order to appease people wishing to keep their ROIs private (or in this case scrambled).

If this happens, you are going to lose all of your Pokerstars players, since the database will be useless for them.

Why can't you cooperate with Pokerstars and allow people who want to keep their ROI data private, to do so? I don't think it will hurt your business much--what it will do is make bad players more comfortable playing. If someone is really bad at poker, the last thing they want in the chat window is, "Hey Donk, nice call, I see why you have a -28% ROI."

You should learn to exist with Pokerstars, as you know, they are the largest site and their players are probably one of your largest customer bases.

Thanks.

Is there a bad relationship? I didn't know.

The way I look at it, Poker is a sport. We have wins, losses and in betweens.
Every other sport I know you can look up players results and see how good someone is.
Me being a c grader on a table with a A grader I like to know so I can keep away from him Smile
Tell the truth, I rarely look up players during a game (only if they playing like a donkey), its mainly for my own stats.
Plus I do follow players progress, like players in my own town.

I really don't see what all the fuss is about.

My 2 cents.
