One of the most common emails we receive at SharkScope is the request for a new public leaderboard variant. Almost always this request will come from someone would of course be at the top of whatever leaderboard they are proposing.

We currently have over 300 leaderboards so we do have most areas covered however we are willing to consider new variants if

  1. they are competitive across multiple networks
  2. they genuinely cover an area that existing leaderboards do not

We will not consider using Av ROI for leaderboards rather than Av Profit, as whilst we know Av Profit leaderboards are slanted in the favour of the higher stakes players in the leaderboards stake range, Av ROI is simply slanted towards the players with the lowest average stake in the range. At the end of the day we decided that the amount of money you make per game is a more impressive statistic than an ROI figure and having an additional ROI based leaderboard would simply have too great an overlap with existing Av Profit based leaderboard.

So within those boundaries, this is the place to suggest new leaderboards for us to consider...

Hi
i wanted to suggest that Omaha Hi and Omaha hi/lo could get two separate leaderboards for HU and 5-10 seated. For example for the HU Omaha hi + Omaha hi/lo $16-35 Total profit 2009 leaderboard only 6 players are qualifying because of Omaha hi/lo (just one that would classify by both). I think would be very nice if this two different games could be splitted into two different leaderboards.

Thanks for your time

We've generally resisted splitting the Omaha types in the past because you could clearly make the argument that all the stud variants are different games and they should all have their own leaderboards - which would we believe create too many.

However, we took a closer look at the breakdown of how often each type of game is played and found the following:

Game Popularity
HOLDEM 94.631%
OMAHA 2.925%
OMAHA H/L 1.495%
5 CARD DRAW 0.264%
HORSE 0.259%
RAZZ 0.200%
7 CARD STUD H/L 0.112%
7 CARD STUD 0.044%

As Omaha H/L accounts for more games played that all the Stud variants put together we've agreed it does deserve its own leaderboards, and these have now been added.

Thanks for that!
Is great to know that the staff behind sharkscope actually listen to their customers. Great job and thanks again.
However things might not be set up 100% right because i appear in the Omaha Leaderboard and i havent played not even one Omaha hi sng or tournament. If is showing both omaha hi and omaha hi/lo then i think is a little unfair to the people that only play Omaha hi to be mixed up with the ones that play only Omaha 8 that now has his own leaderboard.

Just a little feedback
Thanks again

ps: Please dont remove the Omaha 8 exclusive leaderboard due this commentary

Don't worry we won't remove it Smile

When we split a leaderboard like this it will take the daily leaderboard update process a couple of days to refresh all the users in the list, so it should be completely correct by tomorrow.

Hi,

I am very happy you added the Double or Nothing leaderboards recently. However, I think those leaderboards should distinguish between Holdem and Omaha. I guess more than 95% to 98% of all DoN-players play Holdem, but in most of the DoN-leaderboards are more Omaha-players than Holdem-players, as good Omaha players generate a higher ROI (some even twice as high) than players who have comparable abilities in Holdem. Especially in lower limts.
I would really appreciate if you would think about adjusting the DoN-leaderboards for both Holdem and Omaha.

Thanks a lot.

hello all,

ok. I think ROi is also useful. So perhaps the solution is :

leaderboard on basis of $, but you give also the information of the ROI and the average stake $ (like you give the number of games played)

I think THE most important thing you guys should do is SPLIT the superturbos from the regular turbos. They are a completely different game, a completely different beast. One can play way more superturbo games per hour, which results in higher total profit. If you were to check the 9 man turbo leaderboard, almost all those leading from fulltilt are from superturbos.

They really aren't in the same category and probably should be split up.

Is there anyway you can add filters so that we can filter the leaderboards for site/network AND game? (AND stake?)

this would definitely be cool. i don't really care who does well on other sites if i'm just playing on one and my site that i am playing on doesn't run as much as another site of a certain thing. i want to know who is the best on my site.

good idea

We've now added Super Turbo and Scheduled leaderboards.

We've added "by Network" variants for the Scheduled leaderboards, but unfortunately its not feasible yet to split all the other categories and stake levels into their own network groups as it would simply take too much computing power to update them in a frequent manner.

It would be nice with leaderboards for all the lowest ($2 and under) 5-10 seater SNGs. Right now I think Omaha, Omaha 8 and Stud is missing. (But there is LB for the same HE, Draw and Mixed games).

Thanks / Voland

Could the average profit leaderboards be changed to Holdem 5-6 leaderboards?

The reason I ask is that higher ROIs can be achieved at Omaha and Draw than Holdem.

So these leaderboards will eventually become dominated by players that play Omaha and Draw with no leaderboard left for 6 seater holdem players like myself. 9-seater holdem players have their own leaderboards.

For example I'm 7th in the 6-15$ leaderboard but most of the players above me don't play holdem

1st Omaha
2nd Holdem
3rd Draw
4th Draw
5th Omaha
6th Draw

I've been steadily dropping down this board to players I can't compete on a level playing field with. Annoyingly they qualify for the Draw and Omaha leaderboards as well but there is no Holdem equivalent for the rest of us.

The stats above clearly show that Draw is easier to maintain a higher ROI - only 0.25% play it yet 3 of the top 6 in the leaderboard play draw - that's no coincidence.

So PLEASE can we have a Holdem 5-6 equivalent of the Holdem 9-10.

If so the any game leaderboards could be deleted as the Omaha and Draw players have their own leaderboards anyway.

Otherwise eventually 5-6 seater holdem players will be excluded Sharkscope average profit leaderboards.

I was wondering if it was possible to have a table like this specifically for heads up (it would be amazing if it there could be multiple charts for leaderboard buyin segments). I use the site all day, thanks again.

We've now added these $2 and under leaderboards, they should appear after the next leaderboard update completes.

I'm not sure I understand your question, don't we have this already?

Landsbanki, we've changed the normal and turbo leaderboards to be specifically Holdem now, note it will take a few days for the leaderboards to update fully and remove the non Holdem players.

Sorry I was fague. Here is the chart I was talking about

However, we took a closer look at the breakdown of how often each type of game is played and found the following:

GamePopularity
HOLDEM 94.631%
OMAHA 2.925%
OMAHA H/L 1.495%
5 CARD DRAW 0.264%
HORSE 0.259%
RAZZ>0.200%
7 CARD STUD H/L0 .112%
7 CARD STUD >0.044%

I am looking to expand from O8 HU and am looking for what other non holdem games should be able to get enough volume, especially at lower stake levels. Thanks

Awsome! Thank's a lot!!! It's really great that you listen to the users!

But I miss my own name on the PLO8 $2 and under 5-10 seated LB... If I count it right I should be 13th (Linda86 FullTilt... Maybe it's not updated yet though? Smile
