I had a problem on PokerStars today where Sharkscope HUD seemed to be stealing focus every half a second, permanently, not just when a table was loading.

Everytime I tried to write a note, click the taskbar on the lobby or anything like that it clicked off.

When I closed Sharkscope HUD the problem went away.

I'm afraid we've never come across a problem like this. Were all the player statistics definitely overlay on the table before this was happening? Does it happen everytime?

Yeah it's weird never had it before but it's happening again today.

Statistics all working fine, it seems to creep in part way through a session. It's actually stealing focus so often sometimes pressing bet / call buttons doesn't work.

I've had the same symptoms. Looking at task manager, itype.exe (and sometimes ipoint.exe) are using most of the cpu (nearly 100% between them). I think this problem has only started happening since the upgrade to 1.0.234, and doesn't happen all the time (but when it does, it only happens when using PP/sharkscope). I can't be certain, but it seems that sometimes when a table closes (ie the SNG finishes), off goes itype.

We can't think how those exes would have any effect on the HUD. What happens if you kill those exes?

I killed the ipoint and itype exes, and the cpu usage went down, but it didn't stop the focus stealing. I then closed sharkscope, but the problem persisted. There were some statistics from the hud still left displayed on tables (even at places where players had left). I then looked in the running applications in task manager, and saw there were several (maybe 10) hud_0, hud_1, hud_2 applications running. I started to terminate these, and at about the 3rd one, they all disappeared, but so did Party Poker.

It just happened again. It seemed to happen when a table closed. This time I closed sharkscope, killed the hud_0 to hud_6 procs, but the focus stealing was still there. Even with sharkscope and the hud_x's gone, there were still stats displayed on the table (including where players had left).

Are you sure you don't have some other HUD software installed? The SharkScope HUD runs as sharkscope.exe, we don't have anything that would appear as a hud_x exe or application.

Finally got SS hud workin yesterday and today when i put it on test as i started my mtt session i had the same problem. Very annoyin and it begin to lose me money as the tournaments had only few players left cause i couldnt press raise, fold or check buttons and went "AFK/Break" on tables as the time ran out.

Would be nice to get this fixed. I dont like to lose money cause of bug.

I definitely don't have any other HUD software. As I said, I closed Sharkscope (which terminated sharkscope.exe), but the hud_x were there in the Applications tab of Windows Task Manager, not the Processes tab, as if they were child processes. Much like Outlook shows as Outlook.exe in the Processes tab, and Inbox, Calendar, Contacts etc in the Applications tab. As I also said, there were stats left displayed on the screen where players had left the table. I have a screen snip of this if you want me to send it to support.

We're pretty stumped on this at the moment I'm afraid so any extra information you can post here or send to support would be extremely helpful.

Has anyone noticed any patterns as to when the problem occurs, for example, is it after you have viewed a specific number of tournaments, does it only happen if you have played MTTs?

When the problem has occurred and you look in the Processes tab in task manager how much memory and CPU is the SharkScope, exe process using? If you go to View>Select Columns and add Handles and GDI Objects what numbers are shown for these items for the SharkScope.exe?

It happened again, so I got some screenshots and have sent them to support with the log files.

Good luck...

Thanks for all the extra info, this should now be fixed in the update we just released (1.0.238).
