I get this message when i double click on the SS HUD desktop icon:
"Could not connect to server. Please check your internet connection and
firewall settings and try again."
I have tried disabling my firewall (just windows firewall) and turning AVG free off (resident shield), however it still doen't connect. My internet
connection is fine as I am able to access and use the sharkscope website.
I use firefox as my main browser if that is of any relevance.
The official support I received was for Internet Explorer:
1) Clear your browser cache. Go to Tools>Internet Options and on the "General" tab in the Temporary Internet Files section click "Delete Files" and then ok.
2) Ensure you do not have your browser security settings on high which disables javascript. Got to Tools>Internet Options and on the "Security" tab make sure that the "Security Level for this zone" is on Medium.
3) If you are using an older browser version you will also need to update to the lastest version as we only support the latest versions of all browsers.
If none of these work then it may simply be a temporary internet routing problem between your ISP and ours, in which case all you can do is wait for them to correct it I'm afraid.
I have tried all of this and its still not working with the same error message appearing.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if u have managed to fix it, then how?
