favorite MTT to play for each site you play on?

as of now i am basically only playing on pokerstars and my current favorite tournament is the $11 10min levels that starts at 15:15 ET

it has a slow structure and you can get a lot of play in it, i might also run good.

Hands down I would have to say the $11 6-max that starts at 23:00. I have played this tourney 6 or 7 times and finished top 27 3 times with between 900 and 1400 players. The next is the $8.80 6-max 500 player tourney that starts at 21:30 which I have played 3 times and cashed all 3 times. Both of these are on pokerstars. I don't know what it is about these 2 tourneys, but they just seem easier to me. I never buy in until at least 30 minutes into the tourney.

i would suggest always buyin in when the tourney starts. you can't lost much chips if you play tight but you can gain a ton.

I like the $3000 chips starting size and 15min levels.
Gives you plenty of time to get to know the table and hit good hands.
I get into the 2nd hour 95% of the time. Wait till the 250 or more blinds kickin before I loosin up.
I also join around 10-20 minute mark. 10/20 blinds you really don't get much reward for good hands.
I 'm not a big gambler so that size buyin I'm comfortable with and I'm in the money 25% of the time so the bank isn't under pressure.
I'd like to try the $5000 deep stack with 30 min levels one weekend just for fun.
$20 buyin is a big for me though.

I usually gravitate toward the higher buy-in ones with big fields. I don't play MTT's often, so when I do set aside several hours to play in one of these, i'm going to try to win big. There's nothing worse for me then spending 5 hours in a mtt and winning $23.

Good thread idea Smile

i like the tournaments with 3k starting stacks, doesn't matter if its 15min or 10min levels because the 15mins are usually normal strucutre blinds and the 10min levels have a ton of extra levels.

the 5k starting stack deepstacks take forever and to me don't feel worth it because not many people play them so if you do go deep its 12 hours for not much of a final table prize pool for a $20 buy in.

My all time favourite is probably PartyPokers late 33 dollar rebuy (10K guaranteed still? Haven't played it for about a year). Usually around 150-200 players and ok structure.

I like most MTT rebuys, much value and so many donks, perfect.
First hand i standard rebuy, allways do the addon.

This is my favorite because of the BI, the start time, the field size, and not to mention I usually do well including a 1st place finish last year.

The PokerStars low BI's are great too because of the huge fields and numerous fish. I just hate the 1hr late registration.

$2.20 180mans and/or general donkaments. Last year there was nothing i loved more than a friend appearing online and tempting me into some random-structure guarantee tournament lol (like a $4.40 4max etc). Sadly these days i'm trying to be more controlled =[

The $2.20 180mans are definitely my favourite though. Ive gotten so used to the structure and timings; knowing when to change gears and how long they take as well as knowing how i can expect sessions to go. Last night i shipped AA into KJo for a 75k pot on the final table and lost it - but ive played so many of these now i pretty much shrugged it off. I went out in 6th, and thats frustrating, sure, but my final table rate is high enough that it just doesnt bother me (and it shouldnt matter anyway as long as i keep making +EV decisions).

The early levels are super-exploitable, its easy to see cheap flops with speculative hands like connectors and pairs and getting paid off on big hands is stupidly easy - open shoving a range of QQ+/AK preflop comes off like 80% of the time in the first 3 levels or so, getting called down by AQ and often even worse lol. And when you're not dealt big hands you see a load of cheap flops and the second you spike a flush or a set you're going to be taking someone's stack most of the time there too. Love it <3

Daily Doubles are alot of fun on FTP, along with the midnight madness.

The nickel tourney is $5+50c to buy in plus you get only one rebuy in the first hour, and only if your stack reaches zero. No add-ons. Maximum investment is $10 and the one rebuy protects you against the single bad beat that can knock out even a good player. The tourney almost never makes guarantee and is therefore good value (because tourneys that make guarantee usually screw you on the rake). I just played one with about 430 entrants and there were only about 150 rebuys. I got hosed by a fish early, rebought, and ended up finishing 16th for a $45 prize--$35 in profit over four hours, which is one heck of a lot better than flipping burgers for the same money. (I know the pros here are laughing at my puny profit, but I have a small bankroll and can't afford expensive tourneys.)

i changed my mind for my favorite, even though i never play it because i'm never on Tilt. my bro just signed up on tilt and played the daily double or early double, either way those thourneys are fun even though i have only played it once. just the fact that you get a bonus for double cashing and for an $11 buy in you have a chance at over 10k if you double 1st place it, or at least hundreds for double FT's. just a cool idea.
