hey sharks,
my bank roll is currently at 350, i won it winning 2 sats to the sunday million on pstars. i play the 10 dollar ds top 2 get the ticket to the sm. ive one it twice and unregisterd for 215 in tds both times and ive finnally ended up with 350 cash in my account now. my goal is to make 20 gs to go on the road and play live, or if my game gets good enough just stay online. but i play a much better in a live game. so i guess my question is whats the most profitable yet safest way to reach my goal of 20gs with a 350 dollar br? (i no verry tough to accomplish!) but i think i can do it:) my best games are no limit holdem when i can control the pre river blasting, and pl 5 card draw. being a natural at at cards and my passion for competion i love all the games expecialy horse and 8 game, but i make the most at the two games above. i also heard the pokerstars randomly intices hands for our entertanment. if this is true wouldnt making the hands bigger wether to random people of not. take away the odds of how we get hands as apposed to a hand suffeld deck? or let me no if this is bogus and untrue all together.
thanks for reading and i nope to hear from ya soon,

my recomendation play with at least 60 buy in.better 80.I have lost all my money about seven times for play mmtt high. Its only one advide.Do whatever you think is better for you.
i would advise you to take gregs advice very cautiously you asked whats the most profitable yet key word "safest way" if you go play $20 sngs that will only be 15 buy ins and you can easily lose that in a few hours if not two hours in the MTT sngs.. rule of thumb for SNGs is that you want atleast 60 - 100 buy ins to with stand any variance you may get.. so based on your bankroll that would mean playing about $3 - $6 games.. i would personally advice playing the $3.25 45 man sngs on pokerstars if you know what your doing on here you can make $1 a game.. mix this in with playing a few at a time maybe adding some $6 and your roll should grow fairly quickly
ofcourse with everything bankroll wise it really comes down to you.. lots and lots of people ask how many do i need for this etc etc but the fact is everyones different Greg either loves the gamble or poker isnt a main source of income for him and he can replenish his bankroll if need be at anytime if this is you then i would advise his strategy to try build it as quick as possible however i assume this isnt you considering you asked for the safest way and being that i suggest my way to be the quickest and "safest" way
hope this helps
Easy answer from something I saw the other day, low buy in with big return = MTT as long as you can handle the big swings and losses. PS 180 mtt AT $4.00 + .40 buy in PAYS 216.00 FOR FIRST PLACE
I was playing against a guy the other day that litterally played these 180's exclusively and his ROI was through the roof. He had about "900 final table finishes" with over 100 first place finishes over about 9000 games played and his profit was more than $50,000. If you are a solid tournament player with incredible patience there is your answer. If you start tilting when you lose 30 in a row like I do they may not be for you. a 4.00 buy in for a 180 seat tourny is in range for proper bankroll management. All you need is one win in 50 to break even and once you get good at these you can win 1 in 25 but smaller cashes will all contribute nicely. I do not have the time available (I am very much a hobby player) to play these deep tournaments or thats exactly what I would do. The guy that I looked up plays several of these per day and often plays more than one at a time. He looked like he kept registering for every new one and would multi table as many as 10 at a time. He was playing 4 of them at one time when I was at his table. Yes he was a shark icon on SS
Good luck
Jennifear's SNG/Multitable SNG/MTT Bankroll Management Chart and Guide
As far as the best way to reach your goal, it all depends on your strengths and which games you are best at. In my opinion with bankrolls<$500 you'll find your best $/hr in single table SNGs. A good MTT player may acheive a higher ROI in the 45/90/180 SNGs, but one long stretch of games without a cash(which can be quite common playing the MTTs) will put a pretty big dent in your BR and possibly your confidence as well.

with any goal in your life it is much easier to attain lots of smaller goals rather than one large goal. instead of $350 to 20k? i think is what you are saying i would advise you to set a goal of 1k in a certain amount of time/games played and once there make your new goal 2k, always re-evaluating on your way. whatever you are good at playing i would suggest playing that and trying to get better at multitabling to play more games/more $/hr.
Gl on your quest
i also heard the pokerstars randomly intices hands for our entertanment. if this is true wouldnt making the hands bigger wether to random people of not. take away the odds of how we get hands as apposed to a hand suffeld deck? or let me no if this is bogus and untrue all together.

this is bogus. no way any site is doing anything like this because if they are caught for cheating in anyway like this the site would be done with forever and therefore no more profit, why make a little extra now instead of constantly forever. its just dumb that anybody would think that.
PS - I just went thru the Jennifear bankroll strategy (posted above) and that "system" is very detailed and well thought out!!!
Phil Ivey or Chris Ferguson (I cant remember which) had a post on bankroll management a while back. Basically the suggestion was:
- only put 5% of your bankroll at risk in a single table tournament
- only put 2% of your bankroll at risk in a multi table tournament
I play tournaments mostly so I forgot what the suggestion was for ring games. This has helped me from reloading for quite some time
Good Luck!
Jennifear is definitely amazing and knows what she is talking about.
it was Chris Ferguson that had the bankroll management system that you are showing when he turned nothing to 10k by starting at freerolls and then moving up in stakes according to bankroll management.
so im at total profit 1500
:)
and ill take any more suggestions the last ones helped me lots!!! i think i got a pretty good system. but i can always use your advice. anyway im a solid player and trust my skills completly. but as we no that isnt always good enough. so any further advise on how to get to my 20k would be aswome. is the 55 dollar 80 grand garrents to much for my br? and ive been sittin 50 cent one dollar. 100 dollar max cash is that to risky? i always seem to get my money in perfect .but always seem to lose in a perfet showdown like 5 outs or less. i mean im up but if i won those hands i probly woulda reach 10 k buy now lol. ty and i cant wait to hear back
Well done darthwager!
With a $1 500 bankroll I would play $5-$20 MTT's, and deffo stay away from the $55's. Very easy to go on a 50 buy in downswing, even for the best players in the world...
Good luck!!!
What about Ultimate bet? They were caught RED HANDED and it didn't stop them at all...

Hey darth,i dont know if u ever multi tabled but if u are a skilled winning player, u should maybe think about giving multi tablings 10$ sngs, say 3 or 4 at a time, if ur comfortable. I mean theres the obvious, go and buy in to a big mtt and thats ur best and fastest way, but being a realist ur chances are slim to make a big cash with ur bankroll. With 350 bucks i would multi table 4 $10 or $20 dollar sngs. Its a great way to build a bankroll, if ur a good player, with not much risk at all. I could never build a good roll until i started playing multis, my roi went down a bit but money per hour keeps going up. GL with the 20g
