I can't believe how much this sent me on tilt. Normally bad beats don't affect me that much. And it's not even the beat I just don't understand what happened.

SNG 5 left. I'm chip leader with about 6K second chip leader about 5.5K short stack on the BB is all in for 250 (blinds 150 / 300) and the other guy has like 2K.

Second chip leader is SB I'm on button and pick up AA. I debate about limping and checking it down but then think if I push one of 2 things will happen.

a) Second chip leader folds.

b..) I might entice him in if he happens to pick up 1010 - KK or maybe even AK. Although a good player would get out of the way here with almost anything but KK.

Anyway he insta calls (really) with 10 2 offsuit. Flop is nothing turn 10 river 2 and I don't manage to fight my way back and end up bubbling. Never been so annoyed at a hand ever. Statistically I should have knocked them both out and probably won. So yes - it put me on major tilt.

What would even the worst player ever be thinking?

Just a thought, but if this was entirely out of line with his playing ability or style, he might be a player that likes to use the check boxes and been planning on limping in (calling the BBs all in with anything there is just instinct) and accidentally checked 'Call Any' instead of the 'Call 150' box and just gotten really lucky. The insta call would definitely line up with this theory. I can imagine your frustration, though.
