I like the looks of their VIP program. At the volume I'm currently playing, I'll be Platinum VIP within the first month, and should achieve SuperNova in about 6 months. I'm a turbo grinder, so I like the $16 STTs...kind of an in between point since FTP goes from $12 to $24. Plus I was just blown away the other day when I fired up the PS lobby. It's been quite some time since I've played there, but the number of people playing has more than doubled...>200k at the time.
And I kinda like how the VIP/rakeback works. I realize that at Platinum I'm only getting 20% as opposed to 27% on FTP, but the PS system appeals to me for some reason. With FTP, the money just appears in my account about once a week which is great. But with PS, I really like the merch. in the VIP store and I guess it makes me feel like I'm treating myself.
If anyone has any experience-positive/negative-with the PS program please chime in...same goes for the state of the games over there too. Would love to hear some feedback.
PS...here's a clear breakdown of the PS VIP program if anyone is curious.
minus not having rakeback in the normal sense they are great but if you play enough their vip program makes up for rakeback.
Well, im hardly a huge volume player, but when i used to play 25NL i was able to get to silverstar status. The VIP system is kinda cool even if i havent exploited it fully, ive got me some pokerstars COPAGs and some other nice little things from their store so its nice to have ^^
As the OP said, it feels a lot more like a treat when you get something neat through the post from the store than when you check your account and find a bit of extra $$ in there (though both are nice lol!)

I'd recommend giving them a shot. I've always been a fan of poker-stars (despite their differences with SharkScope). I feel like they provide a really good overall experience for poker players.
Their support team is always quick to reply and they'll sometimes throw in a witty comment. I really like their SNG structure, and how they still have 15min round tables. And unlike other rooms, their VIP system actually has value and is a great alternative to the rake-back shadiness seen on other sites.
