New to the forum. Found about the site after playing with a Scoper at a Sng. Just wanted to introduce myself. I hail from Queens, NY. Got my start at the tables in Atlantic City and been knocking around in some low limit homestyle cash games. I've been a low limit sng player for sometime now ($2, $5, $10, 27, 45man). And also mess around in the low limit PLO and PLO H/L games. Started on Stars and moved to FT, been there ever since.
I just feel like ive been knocking around and am planning on comitting myself to being more of a student of the game. PLO has been maintaining my roll, while the cards in the sng's lately have been spitting in my face, but i'll be the first to admit that I have some serious leaks in my game. Started looking around the forums and couldnt believe what Ive been missing.
I'm about to get married and go on my honeymoon (bringing Harringtons' books with me
. But when I get back the plan is to get more focused on being much more consistent at Sng's and start moving up to the higher levels.
Can someone recommend the "must have" tools for a player that wishes to really tighten up his online game?
Sharkscope, pokertracker, and studying PimpinDonks videos sound like the most obvious start. But that about rakeback? How can I find out how much I am paying in rake? Can you request it from FT?
Anyway just wanted to say hi. Sorry for the noob questions. See you all out on the tables.

Thanks Walchy, been following your blog too. Keep us updated.
I dont have rakeback and alot of the forums I am seeing are saying that once you establish an account with FT or stars, you cannot add the rakeback service, but you have to stop playing and sign up again with a new screenname, this time with through one of the rakeback sites.
Doesnt sound like too big of a deal, but im not too keen on transferring my money out with all of the talk of freezing bank accounts associated with online sites.
There has to be a way to do it with an established account, no? You mention being added to the list for FT. Where can I find this list on FT?
Thanks again.
If admin let's me,i can recommand a site which can add you to rakeback deal to ftp even if you made an account without rakeback,if you play often,i find rakeback a good money source, but if you just play 1-2 sng's per day,it's not that big of a deal
Hi there, i'm from NY too, I asked fulltilt to put me on the rakeback list as walchy have mention, and they gave it to me through rakebackpros.

Exactly how did you go about asking to be put on the list? Email support or what?
Hey Yank - Welcome. Great bunch of folks here to bounce questions off of. Put Harrington's under the bed and enjoy your new wife.
if you are considering playing tournaments and SNGs you should really get SNG Wizard. It letÂŽs you know when its correct to push allin and when you should call or fold in those situations (concering all ins). Its invaluable to tighten up your endgame (wich also is the most important part of your game really).
Thanks for all the feedback. SNG wizard is definitely something I am looking into.
isn't it illegal to use sng wiz on some sites?

Welcome and congratulations on the up coming wedding.
Do you already have rakeback? if not you can request to be put on the list
and full tilt will provide you with that. It varies on how long before Full Tilt
will set it up for your account however.
Poker stove/stoxpoker combo are both good programs for working out your
equity against your opponents hand ranges and both are free.
But yeh keep browsing all the poker forums and continue asking questions. Let
me know if their is anything else and i will be happy to help. I am sure i will
think of more things later but that is a good start.
Best of luck
