yeah saw this on 2p2 and CP - and i care even less about it now its my third time reading a topic about it.

not really hard for someone like laak to just sit there playing like a massive nit, meh. Doesn't seem that impressive but gl to him.

lol at not being impressive, he hasn't slept in 4 days dude. not many people can do that.

But as far as it being poker-related? Barely. Its basically someone not sleeping for a long time, and yet phil laak will get credence for a "poker" world record as a result of this. That's where my problem lies.

Also he'll have had plenty of very short, unnoticeable naps along the way. With the right willpower practically everyone without a disability is capable of doing this.

alex you are right about this mostly being an endurance challenge to stay awake for this amount of time. i understand where you are coming from.

i guess maybe they need to also say that you need to win money by the end of time or play certain stakes as well. something besides just being awake for it.

I guess as long as he doesnt hold up play then its quite impressive, and if he's still entering into/taking down pots then fair play to him I guess.

I think if it gets to the point where he's drooling over the table/hallucinating/otherwise holding up gameplay, though, it should stop counting :P

He made 115 hours before he stopped i think. According to wikipedia the record for the longest gone without sleep is 11 days O___O
