just added a few new goals, i could easily knock out 5 goals or so in one tournament.
i bearly played tourneys this year but want to next year.
A very simple goal. Get a Sharkscope Average Profit Star on a second account. Have a gold one on Stars but aim to get at least a silver on FT (just signed up this month) before the end of 2011. Will also work towards the same goals on Cake and Cereus but the traffic is too low to really multitable on either to get up to the 500 tournies required to qualify.

i think i'm going to add some more goals today, maybe get close to 25 goals and shoot for attaining at least 22 of them.

well i final tabled a tourney today, too bad it doesn't count towards my goals, it only had 75 players or so, Razz tourney, was killing it til final table and ran like garbage and played one bad hand.
i'm already starting to see why i didn't play MTT's last year, ...... they suck . i know its going to be days and weeks of losing until a nice score, so until then
No other goals Pharreal as I don't get time to play enough. I average less than an hour a day across the year as I don't play at all in the summer and about 1.5 hrs a day in winter.
However, I might try to keep hold of my total profit star for as long as possible. I'm currently 3rd in the $5 5-6 seat holdem leaderboard that I'm playing to get on the average profit leaderboard.
For this year
1.Make $10,000 which is a tall order at my stakes but i'll give it my best shot
2.Participate in, and hopefully final table a 5 Card Draw event at SCOOP or WCOOP this year
3.Make gold star or better in the $6 5CD leaderboard for tot profit.
4.Win my favourite MTT more times than I did last year (the $500 guaranteed 5CD tournament on stars)
5.Maintain a 25% or better ROI after my move up from $2 to $6 tables this year
6.Don't get sloppy or burnt out and end up taking 2 months off.
7.Improve! Another year should hopefully see me become a better all round player.
8.Cash in the $50,000 battle of the planets triple shootout
9.Begin applying myself to mastering a new form of poker before the year is out.
10.Achieve a $1,000 score in an MTT
11.Make 40 final tables in 5 card draw MTTs
12. Win the $500 guaranteed 5 Card Draw tournament 10 times.
Thats my list - some more attainable than others, but some good goals to aim for.

how many BOP tickets have you gotten? easy to get at 5cd if you're good?
Ive only really hit the high orbit leaderboards over the past 6 months, played BOP 3 times. I don't multi table really when im going for it because for a top ten place I find Ive really got to focus 100% on everything going on at the table. This means that to play 100 sit n gos in the mercury high orbit leaderboard ive got to play about 60 hours of poker in a week. This can burn you out pretty quick so I only really do it one or 2 weeks out of a month.
It's only in 2010 that I started really trying to take poker seriously, and that involved being honest with myself about the fact that Holdem probably wasn't a game I could consistently beat and earn a decent rate of return from. First of all it's quite high variance compared to a game like 5 card draw, and secondly it's been the most popular poker form for a long time so theres an abundance of very good players out there. I started to learn 5 card draw and it soon became my specialist game although as my sit n go graph shows, its only the past 6 months that ive really reached my best.
I would say that if you devoted 8 months or more to playing 5 card draw like I have, with several years prior experience in poker generally, you'll soon have a very good ROI at the game and be competing for BOP tickets
I won the high orbit mercury board a few weeks back and I could probably say that where i'm at now, I'd finish in the top 30 places 80% of the time that I went for it. At $2 5 card draw sit n gos the standard of play is very low, and if you apply yourself to the game you can really turn a consistent profit from them.
i kinda want to put make it into the BOP tourney as a goal, but i've never made it and usually don't play sngs that qualify for it.
well.... dissapointing day. 13th in Ante up tourney, close to a few goals. also 43rd in a rebuys.
tourneys can be stressful
As far as i know most sit n gos do qualify for it - maybe not DONs, but most others I think. Easy way to check is to just go to 'requests' then 'sit n go leader points' after a game and you'll see if its added one on your tally or not.
Its probably a really tough goal if your playing Holdem or Omaha sit n gos, and high orbit is definately more attainable than low orbit, but good luck with it, maybe if you have a go at it and get fairly close you could add it on the list later.
I had a brutal friday and saturday myself, I was down $20 halfway through sunday but managed to claw it back to +$2 by the end of the day which actually felt like a good result all things considered lol
i know what all qualify's, but i play a lot of 45's and DON's which do not.
hoping to run good in all tourneys again today, played 6 or so yesterday and at least tripled up in everything, think i cashed in all but one, got a 13th a 43th a 100 and something. all sucked cuz i just lost with best hand to get out, got it in with a big flip and ran bad, or my favorite in a turbo tourney for a 60k stack, AQs loses to AQs all in pre. FUN.
hmmm, i still need to come up with 3 more goals for the year to make it an even thirty goals.......... ideas?
This year i would like to make 30k total profit. Which includes live play accounts at PS, full tilt and players only. Last year i made 22k and some change so i think this goal is possible with more time put in and more practice. If i can do this im considering going full time in 2012 as the job market is kinda bleak in the US anyway. I would also like to play more tourneys. I only played a few last year but did win a 50 dollar short handed tourney for 3k. Heads up is my game so my tourney play can be a little weak if its not short handed. Good luck to everyone!!
Took my first step towards completing goal number 4 today. Victory out of 140 runners in one of the $500 guaranteed MTTs earlier today. Just need to win it three more times this year which shouldn't be a problem. That came straight off the back of 3rd yesterday out off 202 players which was nice. taking the evening off with a bottle of red wine now 
updated my goals list, 2 goals have nothing to do with poker but who said this was a 2011 poker goals list.
i'm still 0 for 30 on all of my goals so far. Hopefully i can take one of those goals down at least by the end of January.

knocked a goal or two of mine out today with the first final table of the year.
knocked out 4 out of my 30 goals today. (some of the easiest of my goals though)

Good to see you hittin those targets pharreal, keep up the good work. I came painfully close to hitting goal 8 this evening - 2nd place in the BOP first table of the shootout. I had chiplead 3 handed, but lost a big pot against aces, ended up the shorter stack heads up and couldn't get the win. 1st woulda been $195 and a shot at the next table in the shootout. Nevermind, theres always next month.
thanks, thats rough. i wish i could just make it into that tourney 1 time. i would set that as a goal but i've never made it to the tourney and i bearly play enough sngs that qualify. nice job making it there.
i can't stop myself from setting goals, who knows how many i'll have by the end of the year. just added 2 more goals.
