Life has FORCED me to play Poker!!

I know, you're weeping in simpathy for me, but thats life. And so I'm forced into the life of an online Poker player...

Now don't get me wrong I'm not exactly new to Poker as I've been playing for about 5 years, mostly live in a bricks and mortar casino, and only recently more online, which is where I plan to spend most of my time now.

I've had my Poker account for about 6 months, and have played fewer than 200 games, so at the moment the stats don't mean much, but the graph and the profit seem to be going in the right direction, so I'm happy for now.

I'm going to increase the number of games I play per day fairly slowly, and I've just started to play 2 tables at once. From everything that I've read (and I've read a lot!!) the advice is to play multiple tables to increase my hourly rate (6-8 tables on average). Not sure I like that idea though, sounds like "WORK".

This is the start of my journey, on the path to becoming a Pro Player, I've already learnt a lot, with a lot more to learn. I'm researching for some poker tools that I think will be useful, and will let you know what I decide on, in the next post...

In the meantime any suggestions would be appreciated (tools or training), and good luck at the tables.

Its more like 20+ tables but it depends what you are playing.

Are we really able to play 6MAX 20 tables. I think playing 20 tables is a bit to much relating to this type of game inwhich we need to profile the player a bit more! Any comments? Wink Invest in Holdem manager. You need a HUD

looks like hes playing DoN or HU if DoN then 40+ tables can be profitable if HU id say like 4 at the most.

gl man, slow and steady, make sure you learn everything you can before adding more tables.

GL-similar situation myself. Made redundant about 3 months ago and grinding away on poker until I can find a job. Its not fun but I'm glad to be able to make a small amount of money to keep myself going.

Thanks everyone for your comments...
Good luck to you too BribedRef, redundancy is a bitch. But at least I can now do something that I love... Thanks again
