One sick sick beat 5 minutes into a tourney I looked forward to for weeks!

The last couple of weeks have been really bad for me, I just can't seem to ship a tourney anymore and whenever I get to a final table I just bust out outside the top 2-3 places and the real money....result: -5k downswing in two weeks. Sick.

Last Friday I went to play a tourney with 750€ buy in and a 20k starting stack - 60 minutes blinds for the first 10 levels and then 75 minutes. Wonderful structure!

About 200 players took part to the tournament, I arrived a bit late (about half way into the first level 25-50 blinds) and after 10 minuts I was sitting down, I look down at KK on the button. Folded around to me I look to open to 175, however I make a mistake with the chip denomination and make it 1.6k instead...ouch! I almost couldn't believe my luck when the small blind announce a reraise at 4.5k! No brainer what to do next, I wait a few second and then shove my full 20k stack in the middle....the small blind goes into the tank and at that point I really beg for a call. Given the situation it was pretty clear that the only hand he can have is QQ as AA would have been a snap call (as KK) and AK/JJ - an obvious call...after a few minutes, he announces "call", flipping over QQ!!! Happy days, I am about 80% favourite to basicallly start the tourney with a 40k stack in level 1, which would put me immediately in a strong position....but you can imagine what happened next ....Q on the flop and I am the first to bust out!!! Had this happen a month ago, when I was in full upswing this wouldn't have hit me too badly, but given the bad period I am going through this is really like a punch in the stomach

Played the usual Sunday tournaments today, I min-cash in the 250k gtd on ipoker and on the Sunday Special on PS.it and final tabled a small Omaha tourney. I didn't cash in the other 8 tourneys I played (including the Sunday Brawl where I folded AA preflop after a raise and a 3-bet because I was distracted on another table and when I realised I had AA it was too late and the hand got folded in front on my eyes! soooo sick!!!)....overall I finished the day at -200 €, so just a waste of time really!

Hope to make up for my May losses in the next couple of weeks, I am currently at -3k for the month and at this point I just look not to finish the month in negative as I would like to continue my winning streak of 6 months in a row and take it to 7!
