June: my first month as a "Cash Player"
June has been a pretty particular month. After returning from Las Vegas I have decided to sacrifice some short-term winnings by stop playing online tournaments for a while and study hard 6-max cash. I will still play the occasional MTT, especially the Sunday's ones, but the rest of the week I will focus on cash games. I played very little 6-max before this month (maybe 2k hands in total lol), but I figure that it is good to start playing it now and gain good experience for the next 6 months or so, so when the Italian Government will finally agree to allow the cash games in the Italian poker rooms (hopefully before the end of the year) I will be ready to rock and roll
Having played MTT for a while I believe I have a good concept of stacks and positions, which are the main factors in a 6-max cash game, where we usually play 100bb+ deep. I also started to use HUD regularly (I find it way more useful in cash games than in MTT, where I never really used it), and to spend 2 hours/day studying my game, both in HM, on forums, and watching videos on deucecracked.
I played about 23k hands in June and this is my graph, not too bad considering that I have just started and I could play only for 2 weeks as I was in Vegas at the beginning of the month, and over to the UK for work for a week around mid-June. Obviously the sample size is still very small.
I certainly have big margin of improvements and still have obvious leaks that identified in HM and need to fix asap, but I hope to get better and better as weeks/months go by. I also got a mini-tournament win this month on ipoker (where I mainly play at the moment), where I shipped a 25-man MTT for 1.5k $ win, not shown on the graph obviously, as this is for cash games only.

Month balance, +5k € ...can't complain considering that I played 1/4 than the other months
I will keep you updated on my progress in a couple of weeks time, hopefully I won't fall in a bad run until then!!!
See ya, and good luck at the tables
Ivan
