January is over....time for some holidays!!! yeeeeppeeeee :)
January is finally over! I have no words to describe this month poker-wise really.
I started really well grinding super-turbos on Gioco Digitale and making good money on rakes back, then I go sick of it - I am not a S&G grinder and don't plan to become one. I went back to MTT and despite winning one and getting some deep finishes in several of them, I had a very bad streak around the middle of the month where I went on a 3.5k € downswing - I got some sick beats in key moment of some Sunday Tourneys that really made me want to quit for a while.
Of course I didn't quit, no respectable poker player ever quits
....had a smashing last week (finally luck turned in the right direction) and got a couple of third places on some high-buy in Tourneys on iPoker. I also had a deep run on a tourney on FT where I started playing again, but bubbled the FT to mt displeasure
Finally I played a live 270€ in Dublin a couple of days ago, went deep but didn't cash. I dislike live poker more and more....it is soooo sloooowwww.....I will bring a pillow with me next time I play one. I also hate to hear comments of donk-live players. They like to limp, they like to call, overcall, overovercall, they like to criticise players who fold a lot, player who raise a lot...because on their opinion poker is about "limping" and "calling". They have no idea how behind they are, but may God bless this type of players for bringing money to the game...
Overall a good enough month money-wise, but not that good for my heart - It is never easy to go through a bad downswing.
Online: + 6k €
Live: - 270 €
I am going on holidays for 2 weeks now for a bit of sun - when I come back I will play very little during the month of February, but will be back to intense and hard play in March
Ciao,
Ivan aka TripleAceIRL
