On a 10k downswing - time to re-organize!

Since my last blog entry I took a little break and went for a long weekend to Portugal to enjoy the sun, when I came back things didn't change and everything has been going downhill. This is by a long shot the biggest downswing of my life....-10k € . Obviously I feel pretty sick about it, but I actually look at the future with optimism.
This happens to everyone, sometimes you run above EV (see March/April), sometimes on EV (January & July for example) and sometimes way under EV (May and August).
I have not been playing cash games in the last week and focus more on MTT again, but things didn't change...and the funny thing is that I didn't even get close to ship a tournament! I think I got ITM probably twice in the last 50 MTT, such a joke!

At this point there is no reason for me to keep grinding so heavily, as I do not appear to be in the right frame of mind at the moment. I don't blame the recent results only on bad luck, I honestly think my game has been deteriorating in the last month and it is time for me to spend more time reviewing particular spots and fixing a couple of leaks. On the good side I am really getting used to HUD for MTT (as well as for cash games obv), so I believe that will help me with some critical decision when i multi table MTT. I will still be playing the occasional game and I will certainly grind the Sunday MTT, but September will definetly be more relaxed that my average poker month.

Also in October I am planning to go on holidays to the US again for a couple of weeks (this time with the lady ), so no heavy grinding until mid-October. I will then grind heavily for the last two months of the year, and hopefully make good profits!

BRAG and message to "The Poker Gods": the poker Gods tried to take everything from me this month, but I can still show a 2€ profit for August despite of everything and I am not going to play today or tomorrow, so I will finish the month in green despite of everything!!! You like that poker Gods, ah???
