Stupid Play

I've run very stupidly on my MTT's and SNG's since my last blog post. The only reason i'm at breakeven was due to one very strong cash performance at the .10/.25 cash level where I won about $60+ off of outplaying a soft table.

Right now i'm playing way under my skill level both in competition and in buy-in. But I am also playing as if I can win every hand I play and not taking the game as serious as I should. It's tough to build a starting bankroll of $25 up to the $10K plus bankroll I played 3-4 years ago. Even the 90 man cash the other day isn't exciting.

RIght now my goal is to get my game back, reinvest a few grand into my bankroll and work back to the $20 - $30 SNG range, the $2-$4 cash range and the $11 - $200 MTT range. I still sit very profitable playing live, but owning 2 businesses I just don't have the time to dedicate in playing live anymore. This will all turn itself around once I get back to automating my businesses, expanding them and having more free time for poker and my family.

just keep grinding. all you have to do at these stakes is play good hands, mix that with betting well and making good reads and you will do just fine.

You will find that the level of play has risen drastically too mate so where u mightve been outplaying everyone at lower lvl sngs you are now one of alot of regs/people who know what they are doing. It can definetly still be done though good luck.

Henry, I have noticed that the lower level skill level is full of basically 2 types now more then ever:
1. Straight idiot donkeys that love to give away their money
2. Straight grinders that love beating up those games and play a very good TAG game.

One example I keep running into is a guy named Chippiemonsta. He is playing way under his skill level and just grinding out the stakes. Yawn!

Today was a good day. Thanks for the words.

No doubt. In fact, I realize that playing with patience and discipline and then getting creative while in position and using my reads has helped me tremendously when i'm actually playing well.

Thanks for the words brother!
