So I played extremely well in the Full Contact Poker "Negreanu Open" and got 2nd place. I got coolered like 3 hands in a row heads up with a 5 to 1 chip lead against Mr. Sparco to finally lose the chip lead. Then I got tired and made a very stupid decision to call his all in shove with middle pair when he flopped top two pair. Needless to say, the evening and day caught up to me and I only took 2nd for $66 when we started with 23 or 24 people.

Today i live by the philosphy of "patience and discipline". I used starting hands wisely and played my fun and questionable hands with position. I realize my reads have come back strongly and my bluffs are working while my table image appears to be solid again.

I pulled in 3 wins in SNG's today and even boosted up a decent $100+ win in playing .25/.50 cash. I'm playing within my bankroll limits in my SNG's, but not in cash. I will reevaluate that and stick with my 10x the buying in my BR for cash.

I've run very stupidly on my MTT's and SNG's since my last blog post. The only reason i'm at breakeven was due to one very strong cash performance at the .10/.25 cash level where I won about $60+ off of outplaying a soft table.

Right now i'm playing way under my skill level both in competition and in buy-in. But I am also playing as if I can win every hand I play and not taking the game as serious as I should. It's tough to build a starting bankroll of $25 up to the $10K plus bankroll I played 3-4 years ago. Even the 90 man cash the other day isn't exciting.

It has been a while, but i've recently started playing NLH again. I've had a lot of success live and even worked as a professional for about 4 months. I'm back to playing a lot more now and finally pulled out of my streak of losing and playing poorly.

Today I entered a $5plus 90 man knockout on Stars and won it. I also got royally donked out of a $11+ MTT with exactly 100 people left. I got my Aces in ahead against some idiot that called me down with K 5 and rivered a third 5. I was play really well, cleared one of my bonuses in the process and i'm enjoying the game again.
