Odiata varianza

ecco il primo bel dowswing,di 600 dollaroni,il problema è che nei momenti di varianza negativa,il gioco peggiora di molto e si amplificano i risultati derivanti da essa.

$30k Guaranteed on Stars

Ohhhhh the fun of poker...I decided to play in the $30k guaranteed on Stars today and it was the same old scenario. Tell me if this tournament sounds familiar. It seems to be my favorite....

Outlast the Pros & $20k Guaranteed on Stars

Soooooo last night I decided to play the Outlast the Pros tourney on Stars and the 20k guaranteed for my nightly fix.

In the Outlast the Pros tourney I had a much better run this time. I ended up getting knocked out 665/2339, with I think 2 pros left....unfortunately it ended with me losing the 95-percent-er below: Crying

PokerStars Dream Job Tourney

This is my first post on SS.

I have been using SharkScope and the training videos on SharkScopers for a couple of months now and have really learned a lot. I was excited to win a $10 satellite into the $109 PokerStars Dream Job Tournament after watching PimpinDonks Leakfinder video with changethief8.

Only $.04 left. . .

For the first time in four or five months, I opened up Pokerstars and stared into my vacant bank account. The place where I had spent so many pleasant hours waiting on good starting hands, bluffing the wrong person, winning a game or two and losing seven or eight, was now covered in cobwebs and a heavy layer of dust and grime.

Pushing the cobwebs aside, I blew at the dust to reveal four copper pennies lying desolate at the bottom of the vault. A little more searching brought to light in another corner the 188 fpps I had accumulated and never used. I stared at them sadly, a slight sense of wistfulness tickling the back of my neck.

I had only ever deposited $25, and with money tight in the household budget, I had not been able to find any extra money to reload my account so I had spent the months since reading articles and watching youtube videos on strategy and bankroll management in preparation for the day I would once again play poker online.

"I wonder if there are any games I could play with these" I wondered as the urge to play swept through my emotions.

Opening up the main lobby, I searched for the button that said 'Micro'. What I was looking for went well beyond Micro! It was the Micro of the Micro. The Micro-Micro Stakes as I like to call them.

To my surprise, I found a tourney with a buy in of only 10 fpp that had a cash payout. I enrolled immediately and began playing my cherished game of NL Holdem once again.

I managed to cash in this fpp tourney and suddenly had a bankroll of about $.60. Wow! I had seen some ten cent sngs in the lobby and I immediately went in search of those. . .

This is just the beginning of my journey through the donks and bad beats of Micro Stakes poker. I'm almost a winning player again and my bankroll has now reached nearly $22. Come back to read more as I progress (hopefully up) through the micro stakes levels!

My First Sharkscope Star And Upcoming Goal

Greetings,

Just wanted to post a blog here about an upcoming goal i have in the works which i will start on the 24th of June (all college tests out of the way).

The goal is to play 2,500 SNGs from the 24th of June to the 24th of July in which i will be most likely starting in the $3.25 cent 6 Max games on Pokerstars unless i go on a sick run over the next few days. My bankroll is big enough to have more than 100 buy ins at the $6.50 level but i really want to be even more rolled before i step up that way i wont be inclined to tilt or step back down so easily if i go on a bad run of cards.

In regards to money made during this period i don't have a goal set for that. As PimpinDonks says you cant control how much you earn... you just have to play and everything should pan out alright. If i just played the $3.25s for the full 2,500 i would be expected to make $1950 without RB which i would be happy with but this figure could quite obviously be higher or lower in regards to when i step up in limits or just how the cards fall over the period.

In conclusion if your a micro stakes player from the 24th of June onwards you may want to tune into my blog as i will be updating it on a day by day basis with all information such as how many games i play each day, profit / loss, and many other related stuff.

oh and i also today got into the sharkscope leaderboards for the $2 - $5 6 max total profit after a nice small 50 games session which went fairly well (graph below)... I must say i like the look of that star hovering around my name... even if it is such low stakes... i guarantee im going to have many more to come in the higher stakes in future YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! lol.

Introduction

Hey all well i thought i would do a quick introduction.

My name is John im 20 years old and i live in Canberra, Australia and currently am a university student doing Software Engineering.. although im not finding it the most exciting thing out thats for sure!.

I started playing poker back in late 2007 after getting interested in it by watching a few WSOP's etc on ESPN and other channels.

The last few months have been really slow poker wise for me.. they have been profitable but i havnt been playing many hours.. probably only averaging 5 hours a week sometimes if that.. ive really been stuck down by school lately and am eager just to put in some solid hours which i will be able to do in about 3 weeks time when all tests finish and i will have atleast a good solid month to spend doing nothing but poker and anything else i want to do so during this time im really looking to play alot and build up my bankroll so i can also move up in limits!.

thats all for now Smile
