groundhog day and sng challenge
Today is groundhog day, but does anyone really care ? I used to think that the whole 6 more weeks of winter saga really was dependent on whether these guys saw their shadows. Wait, is it ??
Yesterday was a great start to February, I ran well in 32 games and moved up 5 spots on the leaderboard to # 10. I realized it is going to be tougher to get those 1,000 sngs in this month than I thought. There are only 28 days this month, and I will probably only get in 3-4 solid days this week bc it is my birthday on Thursday and Super Bowl weekend coming uuuup. I will reassess in the coming days.
Anyway, a buddy of mine (cash game player) and I are taking the day to have a little sng challenge. We will each play as close to 50 $ten$ games as we can before our heads pop off, and see who comes out with the best profit.
This is really nothing more than a slightly heavier workload than I am used to, but it's a fun way to keep things interesting and throw a loop into the day-to-day grind. I'll check back in later with our results.

Yea its 9 pm Im just starting my second session with 25 games in so far. We will probably only get to 40 or so, he has to watch Lost from 8-11 haha. Any day spent playing 40 sngs is a good one to me.
So far the stats are as follows:
Me: 25 gms, +40$
Him: 27 gms, +27$
Should be a good finish, lets go !!!!
Lol the minute you say groundhog day i just think of the film. If you havent seen it it's totally epic :P
Nice about the prop bet - ive run prop bets before with friends where we enter the same tournament (e.g. some big MTT) and place a last longer bet on who is in it for the longest. It can get quite epic if you both end up running deep or if things get multi-way.
Ive also discussed other fun ideas for props like a 72o challenge where we'd both play 4 tables max of whatever cash games we like and see who can win the most pots with 72o in that time :P
I wish i could get in bigger volume like the 1000 sngs youre talking about... but with school 5 days a week as well as other activities i just dont have the time right now =[
