played a $100+20 sng at borgata in Atlantic city thursday evening, which was my first live casino tourney. i had previously only played cash games down there .

here's how it went down: The game played like a turbo and the blinds started at 25/50 and doubled with each round. 50/100, 100/200, 200/400 etc..even faster than a turbo online. slight adjustment so had to get aggro sooner than I'm used to. Rounds were 10 minutes to start but then went to 15 minutes around the 6th level. 3000 starting stacks. 60 bbs - 10 handed

not much to play for awhile but picked up some raises and cbets from the button a couple times to stay mostly even. alot of limping and calling going on. After a few knock outs I had about 12 bbs picked up KJ from the btn after the big stacked c/o raised for about the 4th time in 5 hands re raised all in he called with 8d10d so I double there. Then iso a weak limper with kj suited from btn again flop j he gets it in with ace high. Now im leading with 3 left, about 17k of the 30k chips in play. Ten or 15 uneventful hands later got the short stack all in with a8 against his 98s when he had like 6 bb. river 9.

I make a loose 3bet with j7s and he 4bets all in so im forced to call he wins it with ace high. Now im short stack. These 2 guys were buddies I had seen them in the lobby before the game started so they weren’t rly getting involved with each other. They checked multiple hands down when I was out. Either way they offer me a deal for 250 a man then winner gets the last 250. So I agree. Then I win a decent pot by pairing a queen and now im middle stack. the game was taking a while bc we were all pretty competent with what we were doing but we ended up making another deal at that point for 320 each and left 40 to the dealer. But the a8 vs 98 hand essentially cost me the game would have had about 23k to 7k lead at that point. Anyway gg Ill be back.

Im going to conduct a little experiment this week and play the 12$ turbos and see what kind of roi I can achieve in 3-400 games. Off to a decent start this month..
