Finally Made a MTT Final Table

Tagged:

Hi guys, I finally made a final table, and made it count with a 2nd place of $600 in a $3 MTT.

Knew I could do it, been getting ITM around 30% of the time (average number of players 1500)

My 2nd good finish in a few weeks, Poker Stars ran the $2000 reload Freerolls in June, I got a 1ST place worth $150.

Lets hope I can follow up with some more good results.

BTW I hit a record for myself of 5 ITM's in a row (large MTT's).

The videos really helped.

Steve.

Nice job steve!

Thank You, bought a couple of yours Smile.
Close again 29th out of 1600 after I wrote the above, pushed 66 due to being short stacked.

BTW have you ever done this? First hand in the last tourny I played.
The reraise had had me confused and I really didn't think anyone could be that lucky, never assume and commit all your chips is the lesson there.

Steve

Yup quads are rare but the first hand of the tourney that is rough.

Way to go! You're right - gotta put in the study time on the videos. It's tuition for a higher education.

BTW - Do you have any video recommendations that you believed really made a difference in your education or playing style?

When I was learning the game books were all that was available so I read a ton of poker books. The videos now increase the learning curve significantly.

Video's, as many as possible.
"Live" one's are good as it show the tempo of the game.

I bought mostly beamo's video's. Fergwrx has a good large field MTT video.
I'm into large field MTT's (not sng's) now due to the large payouts so not many video for them but the other video show the type of game you should play.
