internet troubles. sigh

so i have played a total of 4 games today as my net was shit when the first game started so i unregistered from most of my games. this is doing my head in at the moment as it is killing my potential profit. i usually play up to 16 games at a time but at the moment i am not confident enough in my net to have anywhere near that amount of games on at the moment. whether its the vodafone modem stick that fails to work or the unreliable wifi the sooner i can find a place to stay with good wifi the better. the problem is that Australia in general has pretty shit wifi and finding an apartment with good net is seeming impossible. if it continues i am genuinely thinking about heading back to Thailand where i can get good net and apartment for a fraction of the price it would be here, i would be spending next to nothing on food and alcohol and i generally just enjoy life better there.

it looks likely i am losing the bet to Britcliffe as i cant get any sessions in at all though i had given up on the $50 anyway. i am more bothered that i cant take advantage of the sunday million satelites. with the huge gaurenteed prizepool and $500k gtd 1st place this week the sats will be even more donk infested and would have huge money making potential. sigh Sad

tomorrow i will put in a full session at the local net cafe which has good net but i prefer to be in my own surrounding when i play. hopefully i can get something sorted soon but we will see.

when i get net everything should fall into place and i should get about 6000 SNGs played before i leave the country which should give me some good profit, be well on way to supernova and have ran through most of the stellar rewards.

Oh, net problems sucks. Three years ago I got double broadband subscriptions/connections (one through tel. and one through TV). Best poker investment ever... I can really recommend it if you play a lot. Good luck with the poker!

me too. No cable though, but 2 different net providers (different hardware nets, not just a random sub company that uses the same copper)
cable as a backup is even better though imo.

I had terrible problems for weeks - in the end I got it solved by getting AOL to send me a new router. They basically stopped providing a service for my old router but didn't bother to tell us.

I've had problems with this in the past. I have an ethernet cord connected to my computer for my internet, better than using the wireless i think, once in a long while this may stop working, and when i can have up to $2k at the tables in sngs it would not be good to lose power, invested in a verizon wireless air card a few months ago, $61 a month but worth every penny imo.
