PokerStars Dream Job Tourney

This is my first post on SS.

I have been using SharkScope and the training videos on SharkScopers for a couple of months now and have really learned a lot. I was excited to win a $10 satellite into the $109 PokerStars Dream Job Tournament after watching PimpinDonks Leakfinder video with changethief8.

The tourney was on the 30th of November and 1st place won a $100,000 contract with PokerStars - paid out at $5000 a month salary and $40,000 in live tournament buy-ins for the year, pretty much my dream job! Smile I really felt like I was playing good poker and was looking forward to a deep run in it... Crying .

Then reality sets in and I start the tournament...winning a few small pots that I took a stab at in position. Nothing big! Then of course when I finally do get a decent hand (AKo) and raise, nothing hits. I only called a few more hands without anything hitting and before I know it, I am at the dreaded 10bbs at the 50-100 level. So I pick up QQ and run the ladies right smack into KK....and of course the cowboys hold, and I'm out the door...I only outlasted about 100 of the starting 716...horrible. Monkey

So unfortunately the month ended like it had been running all along...crap!

I'm taking a couple of days off to try and remember why I play this stupid game anyway....lol

I feel for you. Too many times I satellite into a big buy tournament only to get smacked out of it early for no good reason at all. No big pairs, no sets, suited connectors are not even close, and AK may as well be 72.
