Up and Down

Book a win, lose the next 2. Just the usual shitty pattern that I had transferred from Super Turbos to MTTs. Cant get any consistency at all. I guess I "deserved" it and sod's law did apply.

Been getting some ridiculous beats deep in tournaments. Also it seems like every huge 13-15 outer I get I miss. Dunno when the last flush/straight draw I've hit was. I've started playing more KO's 90 mans, and I know that the variance will be higher and it'll be harder to consistently cash in, but it seems good value for money. Anyways I'm so sick of playing right now, I'm gonna chill out this weekend. Feeling so crap right now, hoping things will pick up again...

Losing is so demoralising. I have noticed that I study poker more, review hand histories etc more, when I am winning. How can I get my brain to do the opposite, which is likely to be more productive - that is, take more interest and study harder when I am losing Wink

Good luck! A couple of good MTT results will make you feel better....for every horrendous bad beat there is a lucky break waiting to happen (at least that is what I tell myself!).

Know exactly where you're coming from Bad Faith. Losing makes you play worse, more quick clicks without thinking things through. When you get to the point where you're make dum calls hoping it's time for you to be the lucky fish it's time to log off and do something else.

Tbh with MTTs if i could run win one/lose two i'd be delighted (depending what you mean by "win"). I play 180mans and cash just under 20% of the time; its what happens when you cash that counts. Losing the huge hands deep is what really sucks with MTTs, though, and it can be difficult to persevere through it. When i was playing the $4.40 limit i kept getting annihilated on the final table runs leaving me finishing 6th or lower on suckouts or flips, but if you persevere it will become good in the end.
Ive had the swingiest, craziest MTT weekend to date which i'll be blogging about soon; all i'll say is GL persevering and hope you catch a break soon!
