A Tale of 2 Stakes...
The last 400 games have been a real grind. When things go well everything is easy, your opponents might as well tell you what they have, coz it really doesn't matter, your gonna win.
But when things are tough you struggle to make the money, dragging yourself over the line battered and bloody, surviving the most awkward stats and loose bb defenders, shoving more then your usual amount of "ugly" hands more often because for some reason, the good hands never seem to be around end game. Yesterday I cant count the number of times an A flopped after value raising donks with KK. Gross.
It really has been a tale of 2 stakes tho. Why cant everything just be nice and fairy taley? LOL.
$16s I'm up but just really haven't had any kinda run so far. By run I mean a run of good sets. Maybe I have too much expectations of these sets. Granted, I haven't played that many, too scared to fully commit to them to be honest. I'm happy to gradually baby wean myself into them, and learn who the bad regs are that I can exploit. And the good regs too, I have a big advantage over them coz they don't know who I am, nor whether I'm good or not. But I'm sure it wont take long for them (Abarone68/Sippin Criss/Envision9/Simplicity8/Maruyi Sama/Bagclip/Royal4Player/The Venition...etc) to adjust. I really haven't played that many tho, and I know as long as I get the volume in I'll be ok.
$6s are my forte right now. Super comfortable, super killing it. Atm I have a totally unstatainable 19% roi over 800 games. Distribution is 143/87/99/100 WTF how many firsts?? Yes I say that to myself a lot. I guess the money makes a big difference, knowing that I have such a big cushion that I can "not care" my way into bubble manipulate everyone going nuts with the chip lead. It has been a sick journey tho, after playing nearly 7k of these my love/hate relationship really should constitute a marriage! "Puyan, do you take, Six Dollar Fifty Turbo Sit and Go Tournaments, to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

Soooo lets take last night for example. After 50 mixed stakes games, I run crap at $16s losing $200. Fortunately my $6 being up $50 makes the pain not so bad. But 28 $16s and cashing only 6 aint pretty, so I call it a day on the $16s and fire up 20 x $6.50s.
Boom!
Set 1 - 7/1/2/1 +$96 (Shout outs to Tbini87 for some epic weird spots)
Set 2 - 5/2/3/5 +69... 15 Games 4h+??? Wtf, started timing out like crazy lol.
Day saved.
Also, just checked my BOP and apparently I'm 11th on Earth High Orbit for some reason, and the Venus one too. I love the BOP for SNG grinders like me, runs every week and its like a nice Christmas gift if you run good.

congrats on the profits... but word of warning i remember doing the same thing you did, like mixing stakes and grinding higher stakes etc... one thing i noticed, was, how i punished the small stakes but got punish on higher stakes.. ... obviously cause i had too many leaks ... but yeah... i had to learn from my mistakes the hard way !!
i remember going for BOP all the time 2 years ago, wish they had it for DON's somehow.
