Tagged:

I'm not big on posting up hands coz honestly, its never as interesting to everyone else reading it, especially when its bad beat stories...

But holy shit, I've never been pwned so badly by this one guy in one set of 17 games -

1. Gonna start off with this hand where I got totally pwned blind vs blind. I really like it actually, unauthidox stuff in the SNG world these days...

3. Literally 5 minutes later he cracked my AA again. I'm really surprised he did this considering I thought he was a really good player. Open shoving 13bb on the bubble is bad here exactly for this reason.

sickness!!!

welcome to yesterday for me.

guess that means tomorrow you will have a great start to your day.

GL getting through that

I didn't know that i was so lucky. I am so sorry Smile. You will take back your EV, i am pretty sure.

"Open shoving 13bb on the bubble is bad here exactly for this reason"

Why do you think that sixes are too bad to push for 13 BB on the bubble ? OK, I put it into wiz and it is breakeven. Your range should be 99+,AQ+ or even tighter (TT+, AK) if you don't expect from me to be pushing 66, then it is EV+, also i can't remember the image of that player on the SB (he has to be calling around 20% to make it unprofitable for me).

GL at "my" tables

Hi Roy4l! I'm kinda honoured that you elite guys are even reading a breakeven donk's blog!

Well, I think that we're all at the level where it's pretty obvious whether SNG Wiz is gonna say a shove is profitable or not. The question is whether the hand is the best way to play it (most profitable) or just profitable (wiz says yes).

I guess before you decide to shove you should see whether the big blind is capable of rebluff shoving back at you on the bubble. Honestly I haven't seen you be really loose in these situations so I would say the answer is no. I really think that there'd only be like 5 regs that I've seen that are capable of this.

So raising does the same thing as shoving imo. No one is going crazy here, or flatting (assuming the sb isn't a nutcase too). If your reshoved in this situation your in bad shape and can fold.

My range in that spot probably is JJ, AK vs you dude.

+EV is profitable for sure, I don't disagree with this, but so is open shoving AA. I'm just saying, raise calling AA is more profitable in the long run then +EV open shoving. Raise 66, I fold a huge range, reshove super tight.

I agree with your meaning, but basically raising 13bb deep with this type of hand is bad. Imo there are only 2 comfortable ways to play it, shove or fold.

I saw this blog by accident because the title begins with Roy4l.
Also I know, you are from "Glitlr school", means i have to consider you as good player at the tables, you are not so unknown to me Smile

Yes I agree that raising is problematic because you kinda just turn your hand into a bluff, because you are raising with the intention of folding to a reshove. So the counter argument can be that your hand is irrelevant if you decide to raise, so 66 can be 72 if you want! Kinda weird...

I guess for me I'd just fold it pre. It kinda reminds me of what you should do with 13bb with 88 in MP. Some guys overshove it and some guys fold. I'd prefer a fold here since its the bubble, and that's probably the tipping argument for me in this situation.

Hmmm how did you know I'm from Glitlr school? I am learning but so far my results haven't translated into anything yet... still too spewy and making too many mistakes!
