Platinum Star! and Feb Goals

Yes, January is gone and in the last week I grinded my ass off the $6 Turbo SNGs and managed to get platinum status now. From the 22nd Jan, I had played a total of 1430 SNGs to get enough points for Platinum. That's an average of 130 a day, for 11 days, 14 tabling.

January really has been a testing month. My first month playing PokerStars in mass, and its been a easy switch. There are more players on PS, but I still miss the interface and graphics of Full Tilt. I hate the pictures that everyone posts up, but its so easy to see the regs I have to leave it on. Also, I still feel that the Turbo SNG structure jump from 100/200/25 to 200/400/25 is insanely high, and much prefer the gradual blind rise with no antes in Full Tilt.

My month basically went like this;
1. Play a mix of $6 and $3 Turbo SNGs starting with small amount that I had in my account already.
2. Trebled roll.
3. Lost nearly all of it in downswing... reload a bit.
4. Grind out the $3s properly, with proper bankroll rules now.
5. 11 Winning Days.
6. Move up to $6s, top up to appropriate amount.
7. Get Killed. Not literally, but sitandgopokerally.
8. ...to Present Day...

Put my results in Juk's Luck, and the moral of the story is that if you run good, like Usain Bolt you will win, and if you run as bad as a legless paralytic blind person, you will lose money. How much I can really take from these graphs is going to be debatable, I'm pretty sure that there isn't a huge difference in play from the $6s and $3 levels, just that the $6s seem to hate me atm.

Since my last post I was in a WBCOOP, and I cashed and got $33 entry which was nice. Problem was that I basically tilted out in a marginal situation, due to it being like 4am and I had been playing my 130 SNGs to get Platinum. Not too European friendly, some of these tournaments...

GOALS
So last month I set some easyish goals for myself to kinda test the water a bit, so I completed them easily. This month I wanna really get my roll going, and try and get some decent results. Hopefully I'll come out of this luck recession soon with the $6s...

1. Maintain Platinum status by achieving 7500 VPPs in 28 days, which works out to be 98 SNGs a day at the $6 level.
2. Cash big by playing at least one guaranteed tournament every day. Play more MTTs and play the VIP tournys...
3. Get a +ROI at $6 level!
4. Get enough FPPs to buy a bonus.
