Moving Up, Lucking Down
I'm not doing so well in the $6s lately. Granted, I'm kinda experienced in this, so I know that after a while things will turn my way. The main problem is that my winnings are too small, and my losses to large.
This is my 6th day in playing the $6s, and things were kinda break even until 2 days ago when I suffered a huge 30 buy in drop. 4 losing sessions over the day. Just brutal. I would probably say it was 70% variance, and 30% me tilting playing too loose in some spots over playing too many tables. Fortunately I had taken advantage of the discounted cash back package, as well as another stella award, so it did numb the loss a bit.
The main thing I'm finding is that I am getting insanely unlucky heads up. The difference between first and second is so large, winning really is everything! Firsts so far are 88, and seconds 130! Gonna keep grindin' anyways, I'm pretty happy with my new HU strategy, and hopefully the coin will start flipping the other way to even things out again.
As we speak, I'm currently 32nd outta 161 in the World Blogger Championship of Online Poker, and 153th cashes an $11 SCOOP entry. We're currently playing in slow motion and everyone is using their time buttons right now. I feel like I'm playing live! Winner gets a $1050 SCOOP entry, but we'll see what happens...

depends how deep he is. assuming he is playing 6max, you aren't going to be so low on chips all the time when you get to HU, the biggest thing might just be that you are playing too passively 3 handed and go into HU as the short stack. might need to work on being more aggressive 3 handed and going into HU as the CL.
