Koreans, Brits, and World Cup Madness!

Took 2 days off during the weekend to hang out with some friends in London and watch the football. Yes, FOOT-ball, you yanks, where we use our feet! My friends are Korean, so we had a nice day watching the Korea match then the England one.

Firstly, Koreans watching football is the most hilarious thing I've ever seen. I forgot how crazy those guys are lol! Imagine a bunch of screaming 15 year old girls in the crowd at an N-Sync concert, then add that to a bar in London, and then add them screaming at everything, including saves, Greece's shots, fouls, tackles, even when the camera shows the Korean manager. I honestly thought this was their first time ever seeing football or something. Then 2 goals and they went absolutely ballistic. It awesome haha...

So after a free Korean meal bcoz Korea won, we went to a pub near where my friend lives and watched it outside. The pub actually put 2 x 22" flatscreens outside so everyone could see which was cool.

Weird contrast from my ears going mind numbingly deaf to English people chilling out, drinking, talking and being Britishly pessimistic about the whole thing. Nothing like drawing a match that you should win, especially conceding a goal like this. Of course, the goalkeeping mistake isn't a new thing, England has a history of mistakes and blunders. In fact, it does seem like a common theme that England is one of the best teams that never seem to furfull their potential. We generally speaking win the matches we should win, but against the big names, do badly and somehow lose even if we were the better side. Choking, has now become a very British thing. Penalties is so dreaded now, any team that goes against England will always have that advantage in Extra Time. Self prophisizing pessimism towards the penalty shoot out has now made England have one of the worst records during these.

But hey, USA was the toughest in the group and there's still 2 games left. Anyways, looking at how Germany destroyed Australia maybe coming 2nd in the group wouldn't be such a bad thing after all?

Sunday I went to a bboy event, and watched that which was cool. I do bboying in my spare time, but a recent injury to my wrist has pretty much stopped me from being able to dance.

So I guess I'd better talk about poker, so make this a "Poker Blog" lol.

$16s have been going ok, nothing to jump up and down about though. I haven't really had much of a run yet, but I know I will. Playing without looking at cashier has helped me handle the swings really well, and I feel like I'm playing so much better doing it, not focusing on the numbers but focusing on the play. If I'm a winning player, looking how much I make every set doesn't matter.

Friday I bought the $650 package with my fpps, and I've unlocked about 1/4 of it already. I think I'm gonna cash it out as soon as I unlock it, which is nice since I've been holding up on paying myself these past few months. Its cool that they'll give it in one big payout, I remember FT would pay it out in sections, knowing that players will lose most of it by the time they've fully unlocked it.

The word cup avatars are really annoying me. They are pretty cool, but its less easy to see the regs now, and everyone's pics look the same.

So back at the felt today, and BOOM! Welcome back Puyan, pretty much lost 10 flips before getting one. But its ok, all part of the grind. I ended the day being down 90 bucks, but I know its just one of those days and I'll try again tomorrow.

Ha yea those stupid world cup flags on poker stars ha i feel like im playing the same guy. I'm not a big soccer fan yes soccer, because no matter what you say we can not call our sports by how we do it simply because we play more then one sport ha unlike the rest of world apparently who can only play this thing they call football. Otherwise baseball would be hitball, basketball would be shootball and actual football be called throw ball and sorry that would be retarded ha. So I say to the rest of the country learn to be semi ok at one sport Smile.

Anyways a silly rant ha oh and btw we tied England and we dont even play the sport Smile. Glad to see you owning up the 16's now and I'm super proud of your success. I remember when I first met you and u lacked so much confidence and now you are a semi-pro so keep it coming and be sure to tell me everything you learned. I want my damn rakeback too btw

Haha, throwball and hitball sounds awesome LOL. And yeah we suck ass that goal we gave away was so bad... soooooooo bad!

Thanks for the props bro, I have every confidence that you'll smash it too bro. Just a matter of time. With the amount of studying/volume/experience I'd say its inevitable.
