Grindin' the O-Ten!

So I've been waking up in the mornings the past few weeks, since December actually and having sessions. I kinda like it, its probably because of my lack of morning light in the past few years of bad sleeping habits. Anyways, PokerStars is having a server reset or something, so I managed to play a set of Turbos before realizing that no new tables were registering. Ran pretty bad too, was looking forward to grinding out the next few tables! Sooo, I've decided to update my blog...

I'm about 500vpp short of GoldStar now, and I'm hoping to reach it before the weekly tournament tomorrow, which means super grinding today and tomorrow morning. My aim was to reach it this month actually, and I've done it in half the time I set myself. I kinda knew that I would achieve this goal, but set kinda easy-ish style goals this month coz I'm kinda scouting and tweaking what I can realistically achieve in a month. That and switching from Full Tilt to PokerStars.

Can I reach Platinum? Well at the $3 level it certainly seems like a sick grind if I do, I've calculated (assuming I reach Gold by tomorrow) an average of playing 87 Turbo STTs a day to get it by the 31st.

I'm not planning on playing the $3's forever, just waiting on FT for my freakin money! Once I get it I'll pump my roll up to grind the $6's I think. Although from a VPP perspective, its not a huge jump but I think that the play is more consistent at that level, and hopefully things will work out easier.

FT really is ridiculous. Everyone knows their support is awful, and I'm having to wait 3 days each time I'm like replying to their 2 second written emails. I say 2 seconds because they're usually fraught with mistakes, from misspelling my name to getting my account name wrong. God, I cant wait to be free...

My 20" monitor finally arrived! Its been snowing in UK, and normally it never sets, but its been setting for weeks now and causing havok, since the UK is the most unprepared country for any kind of problem. So after waiting 15 days after the suggested delivery time of 3 days, I'm enjoying widescreen pokering and movie/tv viewing at its best. I feel like an online poker player now! Merry Christmas me...

I'm actually kinda enjoying my grinds these days. I'm working up to concentrate for longer sessions, playing 50 games each time now. The way Stars' promotions work is very top heavy, so you could almost be a mormon for the first few months of the year and reap the benefits later on playing less. Work hard now, and play later!
