Back in UK, Ridin' Rough
...And I'm not just talking about my return flight! (Bada-Boom!)

"Worst Run.... Ever!"
Welcome to the 2011 Grind!
Well its been a while since my last post. I'm back in UK and back to the grind! In Hong Kong, I had only played about 200 odd games with around 1400 VPPs. So I'm grindin' my ass off trying to get to 7500 before the end of the month, I don't wanna lose my one month leeway of Supernova in the first!
Yesterday I had my biggest losing day since Mid August last year. I lost $500 pretty much in my last 2 sets (40 games) after breaking even all day. Its kinda disappointing to run this bad on such a sexy fish filled Sunday, but that's poker! I remember in both those last 2 sets I had like something like 10 odd tables 6 handed or so, then just losing literally every showdown I got. Wow...
However, this $500 loss was following a day of winning $500, so I'm not *that* pissed. Not that it should matter really. In saying that, that winning day was a result of breaking even all day too, and then making a heater set of $450 lol.
Well, that's what I get for playing more $27s. In fact, so far I've only made money at the $27s, and I'm slightly losing at $16s. I kinda get the impression that playing higher stakes you will get these break even/small losing sets waiting for that big one. Its certainly been that kinda journey, which is gross mentally.
The good news is that I'm at 4300 VPPs now, earning 2700 in 4 days. 7500 is gonna be easy at this rate. Just hope I run a little better soon!

Been grinding a few MTTs too, to slowly ease myself into transitioning to them eventually. Its been going decent, and 45 man MTTs are pretty quick, slightly longer then my Turbo 9 mans.
Planning to mass grind those $16s tho after I reach 7500. Gonna get myself on that leaderboard EARLY this year hopefully lol. Lets see how things go...
More Travel Plans
Thailand is booked for mid-Feb! Should be cool! Waaaatf travelling again Puyan??? Yeah, you know it mofo's, I'm livin' maaa lifee! Boom!
Maybe I'll visit some Thailand grinders too, heard of quite a few out there. It should be good, I've got some friends out there and a place to stay as well. I've been meaning to go for a while, and well, I've got the money now so fuck it. Anyways, I have to keep reminding myself why I'm doing this.
Poker = Money = Opportunities & Experiences
My travel list has changed, but that's cool! After Thailand thinking about checking out Japan later on, and maybe Vegas (sorry Usher, not sure yet).
I also plan to move out to Central Manchester, where I can get more for my buck, especially more then London. So lots going on, lots of travelling still wanted!!
Places on my Travel List;
(*This year)
Bangkok*
Tokyo*
Las Vegas
San Francisco
New York
Vancouver
[Less priority list]
Berlin
Barcelona
Rio De Janeiro
Melbourne/Sydney
Miami
Hawaii
The Caribbean (I kno, kinda vague)
Already Gone!
Hong Kong
Seoul (Twice)
Los Angeles
Perth
Holy crap that's a lotta places lol. Guess I'm gonna be a copycat of Daleroxxu's Tour of Cards (altho I tend to play less poker when I'm there.)
Isilder is Viktor Blom
Its official! But tbh, I'm sure everyone knew by now. In fact, he probably revealed it coz there was no point anymore.
Something has to be said about Viktor's success tho. Not just that he's young, or his unorthodox aggressive style. But also his anonymity.
The fact that he kept it secret, and didn't wanna reveal himself made him more interesting. Who is this guy who is playing Durrr at nosebleed stakes? No one knows. Its a mystery. Kinda cool. Too many [sub par] poker players jump on the first bandwagen they get. No doubt his anonymity was good for him, and good for the poker community. We need more characters like him.
Why the hell Full Tilt didn't sign him I have no idea. They completely missed out... Pokerstars is a better deal anyways fo shoo, esp not caring about exclusivity.
Negreanu is Number 1... Again
After a strong finish runner up in the Caribbean High Roller Event, Negreanu cashes a cool million to jump to the top spot of the All Time Money List.
Daniel Negreanu $ 14,116,192
Phil Ivey $ 13,859,944
No doubt that Negreanu is improving and evolving his game, which is why he's up there. He's playing more events, and getting some great results. I think his realisation that he needs to learn to play online is always gonna give him an edge over the stubborn old skoolers.
But its close, and for sure Ivey will be tussling back and forth for this spot unless one of 'em hits really big. Its really funny how much money winning the WSOP Main Event gives you, basically by default you make that list lol.
Well, until next time guys, GL@TT and peace out!!
