As a big volume grinder, I'm continuously changing things up, changing table layouts or amounts that I mix. I love SNGs but the grind is boring sometimes. As much as I know that having an easy picture to recognize over 20 tables might be bad, I'm gonna do it anyways. The flipside is also that if my opponents recognize me as a good player to adjust, they might be scared of shoving into me etc. But overall, no avatar is probably better... but meh lol.

The picture comes from a Japanese anime called "Slamdunk", but is a big head cute version. But actually the gif image is really from one of my favorite movie "Battle Royale", in which one of the characters (Mimura) is a computer hacker and develops a virus called "The Third Man" to attack government computers. Its an awesome, twisted movie so I wont give it away, but I'd really recommend it for you guys.

I guess if you wanted to read into it, maybe I'm "Attacking" the traditional way of 9-5 living, fighting against it by choosing to make money this way. Deeep, lol.

Yesterday I really did have a go at trying to attack the $16s, I have a 200 buy in roll which is definately sufficient but I'm still not adjusting to the swings well. I'm totally uncomfortable playing them and shoves that I normally don't care doing in the $6s, I'm worrying about them in the $16s. I lost $340 in 80 $16s, which is basically like losing $150 at $6s which is nothing for me. But its a big pill to swallow. Yes it sucks, its been my biggest daily loss, but its a big learning experience and I'm gonna take it like that. I remember feeling this way about the $6s and its a similar process, so over time I will get the results I want...

hey pu yan

im not trying to rain on ur parade or anything but once upon a time i grinded the $5 sngs, thought i was so pro cause i won and crushed the first 100ish games i played, meaning i won BOP, like high orbit and 3rd for low orbit.. something like that.. then i was like bam ! lets play $16 for maximum value.. BAM crushed the first 100-200 and when i say crushed i mean money was raining from the sky.. then i hit "variance" and basically went through a 1k breakeven stage.. then the final blow was when i dropped 2 whole sets back to back, i was crushed... that forced me to review my game and i realised the many leaks i had at that stage... but yeah ... i learnt it the hard way so yeah i would review some game historys with SNG wizard befoer assuming its variance... thats my advice..

hope u dont have to learn it the hard way

Hey Wayneo,

Thanks for your concern, I appreciate the wise words! I actually did "learn it the hard way" when I moved up from the $3s to the $6s. My first month and a half got totally crushed losing $600, and although it wasn't the greatest experience ever, taught me a lot of things, one of them being the fact that I'm not as good as I thought I was.

I still try to maintain this kind of humbleness, but I'm pretty certain that me crushing the $6s is no mistake now. My last 3000 $6s I'm up almost $2000, and have been working hard at my game. My $3's sample size was small, but this one is pretty big.

I'm just having a bitch and moan about the $16s, I've only played 700 so far, which isn't a lot. I'll start being concerned if I'm still break even after 2k games. I know I can crush the $16s too, plus I have a coach who is helping me achieve this goal.

good to hear that !!! and yeah 2k games is a good indication for the road ahead !! good luck at the tables .......
