The April 500, BOP, and Epic PASS!

So April's been going pretty good, and the new prop bet is in full swing. I managed to find a HUUUUGE leak and it really does make a huge difference, so much so it turns a break even player into a winning one.

All I gotta say is that so many ppl are totally zoned into what SNG wiz says, but they have to understand that just coz shoving is profitable... it isn't the MOST profitable thing to do. Inducing a reshove with weaker hands is. And vs tight players that's how you can manipulate these games to double up. Straight out shoving "profitable" hands blind vs blind is indeed profitable, but if your gonna double up its gonna be card dependent (only a certain range of his callable hands will pay you off), which is why you will feel like you run good sometimes, and don't other times. It has taken me a while to understand this, and booooi has it helped...

So since this month I've decided to put in some volume, I've already played my 500 games in the prop bet! Final score is +$454, with 72/56/79 distribution. Yes, I have 5x'd my previous month's 1000 games lol. What's noticeable is the waaay more 1sts then 2nds, which is down to a lot of crazy ass loose shoving at 200/400 blinds +. At the moment I'm in 1st place, but there is another guy who's slowly creeping up so I think its gonna be close between me and him. Just gonna have to wait and see coz he's spreading his games out. Everyone else is kinda "running bad" as they say...

What's really sick is the whole timing of the thing. I've managed to make 2nd in the Battle of the Planets leaderboard too, which is an extra $300 in bonuses. Its kinda weird coz my score wasn't that high compared to last week, which would have gotten 8th place, so I'm really happy that it held up.

The run really didn't seem like a run at all. I just feel like I'm definitely getting it in vs worse hands waaaaay more, and then getting paid off. Also, heads up learning to shove 8bb stacks and other little rules has helped a ton. I didn't get loads of AA/KK, or AK hands, just felt like that I've been playing good, and interacting with my HUD waaay more. Most SNG players don't understand that ICM and Wiz are not to be taken literally, because we're playing humans, not robots. Its all about adapting and switching strategies, manipulating stack sizes and tight players, getting value outta the loose guys and whole bunch more. Every day I'm learning more, and I'm sooo close to breakin' even in the $6s, which is pretty sick considering I was -$600 last month. If I hit it, I'll do a special post!

Life heater - Passed my driving test too which is cool! I totally didn't expect it really, my instructor has never given me any indication I was a passable driver, he just nags constantly about everything that's wrong, like my future wife (where ever she is...)! Now I can drive to my local card room and lose my money quicker! Smile Big
