Steady Grinding
My Supernova Elite quest stands at 259,000 vpps at this point. I have slowed down a little in February, but still playing a lot.
The last few days I have been playing 6 max sngs. The fish in those games are pretty bad but the good players are really good so it is tough to say if I will keep playing them.
There are sooooo many regulars in the high stakes 18 mans at peak times they are marginally profitable at best.
I have been playing Rush nl200 full ring this year also. I have played over 60,000 hands and am making a little over $100/hr playing that with rakeback. It is tempting to make that my main game and give up on the SNE quest.
The reasoning for my thoughts on playing Rush is the convenience of jumping in and out of the game instantly anytime you want. The variance is way lower than turbo sngs. Also, I don't have to work as many hours to get to a long term goal like I have to with going for SNE.
For now I am already 25% of the way to SNE so I am going to stick with it but may make a move if I find playing Rush to be better for me.
Lastly, I started using Hold'em Manager some this year and I like some features on it better than PT3. Mainly, I think Hem hud options are far superior. So if you watch some of my new videos to be released in the next few months check out the Hem hud. I like PT3's reports better so they both have advantages and it is a matter of personal preference.

Is your 259k vpp including the 50k from the main event last year? Are the high stake 18 mans really not very profitable right now? I've been playing 16's and 27's is it not worth going up any higher? I see a few people doing pretty well in them so far this year, but maybe they are just running hot so far.
Dang you are 200k vpp ahead of me! Probably even further now
And yeah even at the 27's today I choose not to register when i saw 10/18 with every single player noted as winning reg! Waited a bit and it got better though. I have always wondered what time of the day is best to play? For those higher buyin games is late at night better or when are games softer?

damn dude. seems like you're off to a great start.
the guaranteed $100k plus is a good reason to keep going for SNE but its kinda hard to just stop playing rush if you are averaging that good of money.
