July Goals

Tagged:

I will start off with how I did in June. I did not meet my original goal of playing 1500 multi table sngs. I realized in the middle of the month that I could make more per hour playing high stakes stts in replace of the $26 multi table sngs. So I am going to have to wait to buy my SUV for another month Sad

I did meet my secondary goal of 240 for the final week. So I took my wife and daughter upto Mackinac island for a couple of days Smile

I have realized since starting this blog that I like to play all of the various forms of poker and that setting a monthly goal for one specific type is hard for me to stick too. So I am going to set an hourly goal for the month because I may decide to play cash games one day and multi table tournaments the next day.

For the month of July I will work for 140 hours. Poker Tracker 3 keeps track of hours played so I will go by that. Obviously, I want to maximize my hourly rate during that time. I also have to make videos for you guys to watch and improve your game and answer all of your questions on here. So it will probably be about 160 hours, which if you work a regular 40 hour a week job is a typical month. When I meet this goal I will purchase the new SUV I have been wanting.

hey mark, just got a quick question. i've been running really good lately and today just fell off the charts. i like to grind the 3.40 super turbos and today i lost over 10 in a row. am i just experiencing variance? i've only played 400 games i think.

finaltwo1022, yup super turbos are extremely volatile. It would take about 2500 I estimate to really know your true win rate.

I am sure you will buy your SUV in july LOL
Just a question, Mark. Looking at my charts, without knowing anything else but the fact that I play only sngs, do you suggest me to keep playing at 10€ or to start playing at 20€? Till now I played one third of my tourneys at 3€, one third at 5€ and one third at 10€. Thanks in advance.

hey mark,

I just purchased 30 credits on here, and was watching your 6 table 45 man video, i got to the point where u were on ur first final table, and the video just stopped and went back to the start, and i cant redeem it from the position i was at, any thoughts?, can you help me out?..

cheers

les

Greetings Mark,

Could you please tell me what could be attainable range of ROI for 45-mans during larger sample (such as yours)?
Also, what's the approximate % of ITM for these games when achieving such results close to yours?

I hope you don't mind answering to these questions. Smile

All the best,
Calitry

Sorry about the delayed response I must not have seen these questions previously. You want to move up in stakes when you have the bankroll to do it and you feel like you can beat the next level. You are the only one who can determine that. It clearly looks like you are a winning player so if you are ready go ahead and do it.

Les, I think that issue has been fixed by now.

Cality, my roi in the $75 45man sngs is 36% over 2407 games. My in the money % I got from my pokertracker and it is 18.13%.

With everything that happened on black friday, it put an end to my plans to run another training group this year here in America.

It could happen sometime down the road if online poker gets regulated here or it could happen in another country.

Ok well let me know if you move outside the US. I am right now in Portugal near Estoril, beach resort!

Good luck and keep in touch

Hi Mark,

It would be cool if you could do something in or near london.

Italy will welcomes you too Wink
