Cash Game Hand Analysis
I have been 16 tabling full ring $200/nl and $400/nl cash games on fulltilt for the past few days. I like to mix up the games I play for a bit of variety and I have not played cash games in a while so I though I would see how it goes.
I played a big hand and wanted to share it with you. I had played one other pot with this villian and he won it by betting me out of the pot on the turn. After the hand was over I noticed he typed in the comments "pimp this". So I figured if I play a pot with this guy again he is not going to give me much credit for having a hand.
Here is the hand history:

So here is my thought process for the hand. On the flop I cbet with 2 pair and he calls. The turn puts 3 spades on board and he could have me beat with a straight or a better 2 pair as well. I don't think he has a set because he would reraise his big pairs preflop. So I think checking and calling is the best play.
The river gives me a fullhouse and the question I asked myself is should I bet or check?
I figured he could have a big hand here like a flush, straight, three jacks or a full house also. Since he will value bet those and I am out of position I think it is best to check and let him bet. He may also bluff if I check to him which is another benefit.
He bet $96 into a pot of $129. So now do I call, raise small or raise big? Calling here is too weak. He is not going to have a better hand here very often. We are very deep stacked here. Even after he bet the $96 he still has over 200 big blinds and I have him covered. However, I know he isn't going to give me much credit so I shove allin! He tanked for a while and called showing the flush. If I were in his position I would have snap folded. The only thing he could beat was a bluff. I would never do that with 2 pair or even 3 of a kind.
So it was a big pot for $1/$2 NL and the check raise on the river was ideal for getting all the money!
Comments
Hey Pimp,
So how do you find the profitability of the cash games compared with the 45 and 90 man SnGs? Would I be right in the thinking the variance is lower but the hourly rate also lower than say the $75 45 man SnGs?
Nice hand there by the way!
I think a set, or AJ would have raised that draw heavy flop. I would have put him on a drawing hand after the call and would have been leery also when the spade hits the turn. Not sure about the check on the river, id prefer a lead out and . From your comments he has a history of betting you off pots, but I would have been pissed if he checked behind. Nice play tho.
Keep posting more hands. This site needs more.
Hey Pim, I just sent you a email to PimpinDonks@gmail.com for private coach 45mans SNG.

LOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL

Winning 571$ in one pot at 1$/2$ is wonderful... I'd like to know what he's typed after that hand
