Temporary Step Up

Lately when I have been playin the $16 9mans I've noticed so many regs in the lobbies its so annoying! I prefer to open my own lobbies, but dont mind joinin a lobby with one reg, anymore is pointless as thats one less fish Im gnna get in my games. So the other day when there were about 50 lobbies open and 3 regs in all of them I made a rash decision to play the $27s instead. I would advise against this unless you are prepared e.g. the increased bankroll needed for stepping up and research into the new buy in your about to play. I done neither of these, although I have had a dabble with the $27s before, but still I probably shouldn't have done this. I wasn't on tilt, just purely cudnt b bothered to wait 15-20 mins to play the $16s!

Tbh the gameplay seemed identical to the $16s but the time in which the games were starting was slower. This wasnt too bad for the times I played but at low traffic hours, could be a problem for 20tabling. After a few batches I was in profit and thoroughly enjoying the extra FPP earned. I am yet to hit a real bad batch yet and Im under no illusions that it will happen soon and when it does I need to make sure I step back down to the $16s as I don't have the bankroll to cope witha major downswing. I always feel a lot happier when I have 65+ the amount of buy ins of what I'm playing. Its definitely something to consider for the future if I want to reach supernova this year as there is so much extra value in achieving it.

However I am well underway to achieving my August goals, which is to put in a serious grind and achieve decent profit, which so far both are happening Smile Although footie season starts next week so that will create some good distractions!

I like it! I'm actually rolled for the $27s but trying to get a solid $16s game. I have dabbled in the $27s, and yeah, they seem like the exact same game! Probably less regs for sure...

Maybe I should do what you do, but I'm shitting myself coz I'm just in the biggest funk of my poker career man, everything I touch turns to antigold, so just wondering if encouraging these bigger swings is a good idea lol
