July 2010
I think I have just finished my last batch of July. This month started terribly and I managed to bring it back pretty soon after, but ever since then I have just been breaking evens. I do have myself to blame for this, again not putting enough grind into the grind! I have a few birthdays to go to and maybe a short trip to Spain, but apart from that August is poker time! Oh and maybe a Uni assignment re-sit to do, but that can be busted out in one night, as per usual!
I purchased holdem manager back in May and have only just begun to use it. I’ve been searching all different sorts of dates and ranges and never is the green line (actual winnings) higher than the red line (expected value), does this mean I’m generally an unlucky player?! Would be nice to know if anyone has ever had their actual winnings higher than their expected?!
Ended the month on a perfect high, a batch of $220 profit followed by a $100 stellar reward has got me right back in the mindset for perfect poker; awake, very happy and focused, although this could easily change in one batch! Also had a very funny hand in the last batch, was HU, blinds 300/600, opponent is in BB for 600 with a stack of 610, I raise him all in with q5 for his last 10 chips and he insta folds! If that isn't a misclick that's possibly the worst play I’ve ever seen!
Will be having a break from the poker scene this weekend as I'm going to visit a friend in London, followed by getting smashed
It’s been a while and will be good to get out. Hopefully when I get back to some August poker I can run good, put a serious grind in and earn some much needed $ before uni starts in September.

great job...my expected winnings is always way below actual winnings in hem. I'm not sure what to make of it, because its impossible to tell how much you would have made or lost in a tournament had your luck broken even. The hands aren't for actual dollars.
Good luck in august..
