Leaderboard Run

Tagged:

It's a been a while since I did any leaderboard run updates.

I've reached 100 games in my attempt to get on the $5.01-$15 6-seater Holdem Normal Speed Average Profit leaderboard.

I started playing about 50 $6 games and then switched to the $12 tables. It's obvious on the graph where i switched.

I'm going at $3.49 per game with an ROI of 35%. This would just sneak me on the leaderboard in 20th. However, I'm making nearly 5$ a game on the $12 tables which would push me up into 2nd so I won't play anymore $6 games.

Looks like you're off to a great start. However, I think that keeping a 35% roi is going to be very near impossible long run. May the river be kind !!

It is a great start. However, Steven is right. Actually, he's being nice. 35% isn't near impossible, it's completely impossible on a large sample size. So be prepared when those #s come down to earth. Seems like you'll still be able to make some nice money as long as you're realistic that this hot run might come down to earth a bit.

Good luck!

Gotta disagree with you both. My overall ROI for all Holdem single table SNGs on Stars is 32%. Most of these are turbos which reduce your ROI. So I think 34% is easily achievable on regulars for the 500 game stretch needed to qualify for the leaderboard. I managed 27% on the turbo equivalent on my 500 game run at that leaderboard - which puts me 3rd overall and 1st for Stars. i.e. I make more per table on $12+1 6-seat turbos than anyone else on Stars who's also played 500.

And just to show that's not just variance working in favour my single table SNG ROI on Cereus is 33% for turbos and regulars. I excluded superturbos from this as they massacre your ROI.

I also played for a couple of years on Ladbrokes wasn't tracked but I kept my own stats. My single table ROI on their was 28% and that was when I was still learning the game.

My other two leaderboard runs are actually going better than this in terms of where I'm heading for on the leaderboard.

$5 6-seat turbos - 178 games in on Cereus I'm averaging $1.80 per game with an ROI of 33% which would put me on top of the leaderboard.

$59-seat regulars - 124 games in on Stars averaging $2.26 per game with an ROI of 41% - this would also put me 2nd on that leaderboard.

So far I've never failed in a leaderboard run to get into the leaderboard. I've reached 500 twice and got in both but have since fallen off one but that was playing 3$ games on a 5$ leaderboard.

I've started a run at the $15 9-seater turbos on Stars - after 35 games my ROI is 103%. Now I would agree that I can't keep that going but I think 30% is achievable over 500 games on them as well.

Well then more power to you! You are afterall a stats guy. So keep it up and good luck.
