grinding from $5

I started my play with $3.40 STT SnGs on pokerstars. I would play 10 at a time and when i started my graph was on a downhill spiral. This was almost equivalent to the rake which is pretty massive so i was a losing player. I played around 500 before reaching my lowest point. From then on i managed to grind back up to a position to play the $6.50 SnGs. At this point i decided not to play STT because of low return. The switch to MTT SnGs soon saw me break even at the $6.50 level. My break came when i finished 2nd in a $3.30 rebuy SnG for around $300. This boosted my roll to around $900 and at the time it was the end of term at uni and i was broke so i cashed it out.
It was also at this time that a player called Boku87 started his challenge to grind $5 to $100,000 in a year. I thought to myself i would also try this as it gave me the oportunity to play poker for almost no risk . So with $5 in my Pstars account i started grinding 10 cent SnGs. I ran pretty well and ended up with a pretty sick RoI on 10 cent games of around 225%. So i started on the .25 cent SnG and also i killed these with a RoI of around 130%. I was soon onto the $1.10 Sngs while still adhering to my strict 50 buy in rule. I have been grinding $1.10 and $1.75 for around a couple of weeks now with mixed success. The $1.75 18 players are really rather profitable for me and i showed a 36% roi for a proit of $99. Mixed fortunes in the $1.10, with me starting well then a big downswing. I have however come out of this for a profit of $1 for 500 or so games. Bad i know but ah well at least its not red. So overall including freerolls etc i currently have a roll of $147.55 from $5 dollars. I know this is tiny money but starting with $5 and not going broke is an achievement in itself. Sometimes i wanna go up to higher stakes again but i will adhere to my strict 50 buy in policy and hopefully be back onto the $3 buy ins soon. I Currently comfortably play 20 tables at a time (table ninja is awesome but i can do it without) I will keep posting here to chart my progress and keep me sane Smile
