Going semi-pro
Next monday I'm gonna request to my company the conversion of my full-time job in a part-time job... I'll know the answer within two weeks...
So I'm one step away from being semi-pro... I'll let you know.

Thank you so much for the encouragement and for the advices, friends. I MUST do it because, otherways, I'll regret for the rest of my life. And, if I go broke, I can always ask the full-time again.
Anyway, here are the basis on which I want to set up my semi-pro career (euro currency... for US $ just multiply by 1.3866):

If I consider also bonuses/rakeback coming from the VIP program, I have this total profit graph:
I collected those 14134€ (19600$) in about 8 months and for the first 5 months I just played at 3€, 5€, 10€ and 20€.
Now, with the volume of 50€ sngs I have planned to play when part-time will start, I should earn, from April on, €2000 monthly just from the VIP program... while my "normal job" earnings will fall down from 1200€ to 500€ monthly... so I really don't see any reason to not try this new adventure. If I run average, I should triple up my actual earnings while reducing my global work-time.
I will be more accurate in a future post. By now, I'll just wait for my company to approve my request.

I read your blog from A to Z and it was very interesting for me because I am playing same sng ( turbo sng's 10players ).
Actually I am building my bankroll before go to Thailand in september to live with some friends.
I just play 11$ turbo sng's for the moment and my resultat aren't too bad after 2000 games but I know I have some leaks and it's a problem to up limit.
So my question is :
What did you watch to improve your skill level for turbo sng's 9 players ?
On the internet most of video are for 18, 45 or 90 players, it's difficult to find videos for turbo sng's 10 players.
So if you can give me a way to improve my level It will will nice

Well, on this site there are lots of sng videos.
Personally, in addition to many Pimpindonks' videos, I've watched "AMT #05 - Micro-stakes Sit&Go Strategy" video for low stakes and Beanmo's several videos for high stakes sngs.
Moreover, it's very important to read some poker books... the bible for sngs is "Collin Moshman - Sit'n go strategy".

Today I've officially presented the request to my boss.
He has discussed about it with his own boss, they both approved it and sent it to the director of human resources.
Now I'm waiting (and hoping) for an official approval within a couple of weeks. If all will be ok, I'll go semi-pro on the 1st of March.

I see you play on pokerstars and was wondering if you could answer me a question: How on earth do you get 2000EUR in bonuses alone?!?!
I am on Full tilt and have rakeback at 27% which is pretty standard. playing mainly $24+2 games if I play 1000 games (which is a sick volume in the 45 mans) then I would only make $540 in rakeback, i.e shit.
I know you can't ger RB on Pokerstars so is it just that damn good for bonuses? 2000 EUR is frankly outrageous to make from bonuses alone!
Pokerstars (both .com and .it) is the best poker room out there. They have a VIP rewarding program that is simply fantastic. If you mass-play you go up in status and if you reach the Supernova status you will get a 3.5 multiplier for their Frequent Player Points. Since each 50€ sng gives you 39.6 base points, you multiply these by 3.5 and get 138.6 points. Now, if you make 2000 sngs in a month you will get 277200 points. Now it comes the magic: the points can be converted in money... in the case, 270000 points can be converted into 3000€.
This is for the .it but there is an equivalent VIP program for the .com ... check their site and enjoy
