2010
Hi everybody..
I'm Frederic from Paris France
After playing on different Poker rooms form rake back, blinds structures, change, I decided to focus on POkerstars and to start building a bankroll.
Today, Saturday december 5th, my bankroll is curnetly $176.68 (2212.68 FPP)....
STEP ONE
- Playing only on Pokerstars, $5.25 HU SNG NLH and Omaha 8 Pot Limit HU SNG.
- Move down if my bankroll < $100
- Move up when bankroll > $400
STEP TWO
- Playing only on Pokerstars, $10.50 SNG NLH and Omaha 8 Pot Limit HU
- Move up when my bankroll >$1000
- Move down if bankroll < 250
STEP THREE
- Playing only on Pokerstars, $21 SNG LNH and Omaha 8 Pot Limit HU
- Reach $2000 and start 2 tablings
- Reach $4000
I know.... I'll have bad beats, streaks, but let's go I've a lot of matches ot play...

I like this bankroll strategy, but like Alex said that is a long grind. You might be able to pull out $0.50 per game so you are a looking at 115hrs of play just to move up. So you might want to leave playing two table open once you feel more comfortable opposed to waiting till level 3.
Also I assume level 2 & 3 were headsup games? If not then I suggest you definitely start multitabling, since it will help you no get involved with mediocre hands.
That being said, I'm always one to be conservatitve and really like this strategy for a casual player. Be prepared though, I'm not sure about O8 but NLH headsup will see swing of 25 buyins or more (and some day that nasty 50buying). So as long as you don't mind moving down stakes this is good.
For me personally confidence is very important, and there is nothing like crushing a lower stake moving up and dropping right back down due variance.
If I was doing things all over again and just playing Headup, then I would play with 100buyin roll. Many would say this is excessive, but this is necessary if you never want to drop down or be effected by tilt (which for me is can occur more in headsup games). The confidence that goes with this approach is great because each level change becomes like a goal that can't be undone.
Level 1: 0-550, @ $2.20 HU (Add one table)
Level 2: 551-1110 @ $5.50 HU (Add another table)
Level 3: 1111-2200 @ $10.1 HU (Add another table)
Level 4: 2201 -5500 @ 22.2 HU
In the end if you are able to 4 table, and have about average skill you might be looking at $12 to as much as $32 an hour.
Now 4 tabling might be difficult (I think I only made it to 3 when I was playing them) , but is far from impossible especially since it will take a lot of games to accomplish each goal probably about 1.2K or more depending on your skill but should come faster if you are adding tables.
Now if you are just looking for some way to spend downtime then there really is no reason to be this conservative with your bankroll. Personally I rely on a poker for part of my income and just increased my BR to 250 buyins for DON which have about the same variance (after a nasty 4k games break even run at the $50 DON, i'm obviously not good enough yet). Will I every see a 125 buyin downswing probably impossible but a the odd ugly 50 swing won't even make me flinch.
Good Luck, Probably meet you at the 10's in a few months think I'm going to play some headsup in Feb.

So you're going to wait until you have $2000 before you start playing more than 1 table at a time? That's a loooong grind youve got ahead.
Imo it'd be more profitable, for example, to start off multi tabling at a lower stake... idk what's available but i think there are $3.25s on pokerstars which you could do a couple of at a time instead of one single $5.25.
